Yeah Vegas has done more in 4 years than most teams have in decades
Leafs haven't been to a cup final since the 60s and Vegas just waltz's in and makes it

Wonder what the whiners will whine about if Flames actually win the draft lottery because they finished 13th rather than being higher. I want to see that, mainly cuz I want them to draft high, but just as satisfying is seeing some of the posters' heads explode.

There was an interesting moment of humility in Sutter's press conference I thought. He repeated that Montreal made the playoffs based on loser points in an answer to a question about Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk and stated that if they were put together earlier, maybe the team would have got a few more of tying goals that would have got them into overtimes.

Spend to the cap, trade 1st rounder(+ two seconds) for an ~#5 defenseman, and still miss the playoffs.
Highest ever draft pick gets demoted to 4LW just because they don't want to play their older AHL prospect out of position
Keep forcing our best RD to play LD just because he shoots left
Team can't score worth a damn despite throwing up 40 shots nightly
Don't fire head coach who deserved to be fired and instead watch him do literally the same thing unsuccessfully for 6 months.
Hall of Famer elects to terminate contract and play in Czech league for some reason
At least this year we have 12th overall, not the team we traded with to get Stone. And we have a real coach now.

It's impossible to not improve from that at least.
Was worst case scenario on every front.
With managerial changes and a change up to the core it will feel worth seeing where things go. But change needs to happen now, no question.
Playing kids more would help entice me to at least get some tickets over next season.

So they had the benefit of the expansion rules, huge props to that management team for using that position to build an exciting, elite, contending team. That luxury should not over shadow the fact the Flames have year over year repeatedly failed to assemble a consistent legit playoff threat. 4 playoff round wins in 30+ years, twice past the 1st round, that is disgraceful beyond words.
