Nah...it would help if they had a top 6 to play with for sure. But there's been lots of players who have played with them over the past two years. Same result.

I really wonder if the Flames could get something decent for Giordano if they were willing to retain half his salary? The best thing to do would be to send him to a contender and giving him two shots at a cup would be even better.

Honestly, the Flames are 25th in the league right now and there is a real chance they are going to finish bottom 5. This could be a huge opportunity to draft a top line C or a franchise defenceman.

It really sucks, but there is no question that this group of players is the wrong mix and there needs to be a ton of change. Move out every expiring contract and listen on everything that is available. Get some young guys in the line up and see who can establish themselves.

For me, Monahan has taken 5 steps back this season. Just awful.

Ritchie is bona fide 4th line AHLer and he is playing on our first line in the NHL. The usual dumpster diving for our Calgary Flames. Thank you BT

Even on the worst teams, one your top 2 lines should be scoring at least a goal on an nightly basis. Right now, it seems like the top-2 lines score one 5-on-5 goal about once every other game, and the powerplay is completely absent.

The whole forward configuration is useless right now. Lindholm is not able to produce offense centering Tkachuk, and Dube is playing too high in the line up. He's onyl scored one goal since his hat trick.

Johnny/Mony/Ritchie doesn't even look remotely dangerous 5-on-5. Time for Ritchie to be moved off. If they end a shift without giving up a goal, it's a win... that's more like 4th line expectations.

I accept that the Flames aren't going to make the playoffs, but at this point, these line combinations have been non-productive for many games, so much as well try other options to see what combo might work even if for next season.

What's the worst that can happen? We score even fewer goals?

Skipped the last two games. Feel like I'm better off for it.

Rebuilding at least you have the low expectations and it's fun to watch young players improve. Who's having more fun this season, Flames fans or Sens fans?

If it means dynamic younger players like Matthew Phillips and Oliver Kylington getting opportunities over PTO nobodies like Brett Ritchie, Nikita Nesterov and Joakim Nordstrom sign me up twice.

Both him and Tkachuk are truly really bad. Like, borderline NHL player bad.

I’m just curious as to why either coach this year has not gone with these tandems.

Gaudreau - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund
Bennett - Monahan
Who cares - Ryan
