Lindy wasn't even ready for the opening faceoff. He didn't even move on the puck drop.....so what was he doing? Dreaming?

This is 100% what I expect to happen

I had such high hopes for Markstrom. Very underwhelming.

We're one of the lowest scoring teams. Need to give goalies run support. This gives them more confidence. Similar to goalies being steady, gives the team in front of him more confidence.
Marky and BSD are under so much pressure because any goal they give up can be a back breaker.

The Flames will not likely see playoff hockey before the new building is up and ready.

And then have the rule that they should have put in to stop the Oilers from chain drafting 1OA prevent us from drafting high again.

Missed the whole game, was golfing. Feel amazing.
More golf, less Flames.

If Treliving handles this right, this season is not the bottom. The bottom should be 2021/2022.
Gaudreau -> trade him for a solid prospect, hopefully before April 12th to maximize draft position in 2021.
Monahan -> trade him for a solid prospect, hopefully before April 12th to maximize draft position in 2021.
Backlund -> do what you can to get rid of his contract
2021/2022 --> Bottom-5 team, and take your shot at drafting Shane Wright.
Giordano's contract is then off the books. Lucic likely retires/stops playing after next season. Buyouts are all off the books. Clean slate, and we've got a top coach already in place alongside what I believe is still a top-end goalie. Pretty good position in my eyes.
...but can't imagine Treliving will go that way.

Good finish, but wish they could have generated more during the first 57 minutes or so. Still, it has been a long time since the Flames were actually looking dangerous, and I can't remember that the actual Flames' play on the ice made me genuinely excited. That's great.
However, 23rd overall, 25th in P%, 21st in GF, and 21st in GA - this team seems all but done. Luckily, there is a sliver of hope since Montreal sucks too, as does Vancouver. Who knows what will happen.

Hopefully they have some dance partners in the trade department, because that's got to be the focus from now until the next season starts.
What an abysmal season. It's all the worse because we're all stuck at home and looking for anything to brighten our days. I never reckoned they'd be out of the mix this early, and that the games would be so utterly disinteresting.

It’s actually a good question. Has this been the worst Flames season to follow in history?
I think yes. Possible that’s revisionist history though. But I think so. Can’t wait until the blow up. It’s coming.

You are now witnessing the worst team in the NHL besides Buffalo. Can’t blame the coaches. There is something definitely wrong in the dressing room

How bad is this team when our 6 million dollar a year goalie who is 35th out of the 55 goalies who have played at least 10 games is the least of our problems.

...and the blowback for the “weaker than expected” returns the Flames garner in the trades.
So unfortunate that the other teams have been watching the Flames too.
