Biggest thing I've noticed so far is that we've iced the puck a lot, giving the US more zone time which is pretty dangerous.

I remember wanting him during the legendary search that ended with Glen Gulutzan

Weird I hadn't noticed that so far this tournament. I could have sworn he started on the 2nd line vs Russia yesterday.

Nice passing by Pelletier.

Edit: I could see him threading pucks to Monahan on the PP.

Great game so far.

Wish Canada had been in the tougher division for the preliminary round.

Canada just needs to keep at it. They got away from their game a bit when they went down 1.

What do you mean??

- He had that dirty toe-drag into nothingness
- He crashed into his own net and knocked it off
- He got called for a crease violation

All in the span of one period.

Give him some well deserved respect.

He was last man or close to it. Dumb play.

ETA: and his crease violation killed a strong offensive shift.

It's interesting because Canada has more energy than the Finns did, but the Finns had this sort of quiet momentum to them where they just relentlessly pressed and they controlled most of their game yesterday that way despite not having the finishing skill to score at even strength. That structure, combined with a heavy forecheck, would give Canada a good shot at beating the more skilled Americans, but so far they haven't had either.

Canada needs to generate more zone time.

Would like to see them put Zary and Pelletier together for a couple shifts in the second.
