I was pretty hard on the flames after letting the oilers tie it up and losing the 3rd period. I felt bad but u know what, f it.

No show to the habs
Outplayed and rittich steals the game vs the leafs
Blow the lead and cough up a point to the blues.
Blow the lead and give up the point to the oilers who Ur battling with in the standings.
Everyone knew oilers were going to come in strong and get flat out embarrassed by a team playing 3 in 4 nights.

This is not a good team. This is a pretty average to bad team hidden by a division without any top end teams in it.

But the pattern will continue, they will get points in a few games and just whee N they are in reach, or able to grasp playoff positioning they'll stumble to the bottom feeders.

I'm not all that upset about losing tonight, the oilers were going to be hungry tonight. But this team has lost all my good will with the number of no shows they have had.

I just have a hard time having any belief in the group to do something this year. I also am done with the GM. A lot of what's wrong is based on a plethora of bad decisions. I'd be very happy to see the flames clean house from gm down to the coaches, and of course much of the core.

It's one game. Calm down, enjoy your Saturday, take some time to think and be thankful the BOA is back.
They won in a shoot out. They won a coin flip.

Then tonight the flames got bent over and ravaged. And it looked like the flames liked it.

This game changed after they got within one and a bad zone exit which lead to the 5th goal. Up to that point they had fight.

Two guys. Chucky and Talbot.

Team can still do ok, just need the top players to be the top players.
Jg is totally invisible most nights. I really don't see him in Calgary after this season.
Coach isn't the problem, its the players. IMO....

Lucic will not fight for this team at all, don't expect it. Buddy will scrap every game if you let him, keep him, sit the non players.
The media is oiler centric, don't ever think otherwise.
You'd make a great head coach for the Flames.

Ward - not a great game plan.
Johnny - seemed worried about something.
Monny - heart last game, none this game. What gives?
Lucic - do you know what your job is here?
Kylington - he's a rookie. And he took it personally. Finished his checks.
Hanafin - also took it personally. Didn't finish his checks though.

Who did I like...

Buddy Robinson - engaged physically and had a couple of chances.
Tkachuk - played a good all around game. Cared.

My question is: does he even have a game plan?

Huh? Why would we need to get rid of invincible players?

It's always "men against boys" when the Flames play the Oilers. Just so happens that tonight, the boys won.

Won 3/4 of the games against Edmonton. Tonight was a stinker but whatever.

Or am I not allowed to post that? Is trying to be positive “embarrassing”?

Yup, and the Oilers showed pride, the Flames showed nothing but shame.

We made a not very fast team look warp speed.

We gave them the whole ice, nobody wanted to battle, nobody.

Well at least we have the superbowl tomorrow, and coaching starts for me next week, so when people say "Hey did you watch the Flames play last night" and I can say "Nope, I'm busy"

I think I read that the Flames have like 15 regulation wins this year. Not close to good enough. Not too far off from the bottom teams in the league. Flames are lucky the pacific is bad. Flames definitely need to think about changing this core up.

But this game has been a microcosm of all the negatives combined. A ####storm, kinda like outside right now.
-Lapses in the D
-Top players are invisible
-Lack of heart/motivation
