What does lucic lack? Is it speed? Heart? A pair of balls?

What a pussycat. He should be embarrassed.

GT and PGT read like the Flames didn't just have an epic win against this same team a few days ago.

It's one game. Calm down, enjoy your Saturday, take some time to think and be thankful the BOA is back.

Looked like the Flames just didn't want to play a Saturday night game and would rather be out clubbing. They should be embarrassed with their performance.

This team needs a coach.

It needs a core that doesn't think Robaxacet and Silenor is a good pre-game pill mix.

It needs 2 left side and 1 right defensemen.

It needs Right and Left Wingers who can score, I'm liking Mangiapane a ton, we need more breads.

And it needs to figure out how to play against fast teams.

I swear the playoff disaster last year followed by the first game of the season, where absolutely nothing changed and the Flames got hammered by a large, fast Avs team just destroyed these guys.

Johnny Gaudreau played the least engaged, worst game of hockey I've seen in a Flames uniform since Neal was part of the team. I mean, talk about a floater, this guy doesn't even need a hockey stick cuz he's not checking, he's not blocking lanes, he's just touring around. Really pathetic effort.

Lucic? Where's that grit boyo?

Monahan, did you play tonight?

Ryan's trying.

Tre better work a little magic here, because this is what we're in for in the playoffs.

Hartley doesn’t let the team get pushed around like that. Ward is a wuss just like Lucic. I want Hartley back.

Disgusting lack of effort in this game, what's even more disturbing is the complete lack of push back in the third period. I don't want to hear "We have to be better" or "We have to take a look in the mirror" interviews, This team needs a change to the core, it really does, it needs leadership in the locker room, its been lacking from the playoffs last year.

This was one of the most gutless efforts that I've seen.

I thought this team was turning the corner with solid games against the Oilers and Blues. But here we are again questioning this team.

I have trouble watching hockey over the last few years, I'm going to have more problems now, I'll check in on the scores. But if they're going to spend half of their time floating around believing that they're better then they are, then why waste my time.

They had every reason to come out hard tonight, instead they sat back and let the Oilers dictate to them for 55 minutes on their own god dammed home ice in front of their fans.

Gio is a great player, but he's maybe not a great captain anymore. Lucic should be thriving in these games instead he was completely gutless.

In the old days this would be a benching and bag skate scenario, but we know the players control things right now, and would object. Hey maybe they need a hug.

Bleah, No heart, no guts, no effort.

This is what 80 million gets you.

Johnny was bad, Hanifin was terrible, kylington was terrible too.

All that being said somebody needs to explain to me how Monahan has improved this year because of his apparent new focus on defense and physical play. He's not playing against top lines but has the worst plus/minus on a team with a terrible goal differential and is on pace for one of his worst goal totals since he came into the league.

How he seems to get a free pass is mind boggling to me.

I am tired of seeing this incredibly inconsistent team. Makes moves - trade players, fire another coach, just do something. Almost 2/3rds of a season is over, and it isn't getting any better with efforts.
Are they though? Playing from behind and getting physically manhandled has pretty much been our MO this entire season.

I would argue the "inconsistent" version of this team has been the one that has played games with the lead and/or won by two or more goals.

Everyone has bad nights, but only the Flames appear to have skill of lining up so many together consistently this year.

Embrassing is the only way to sum it up.

Their best players were miles better than our best players.

When that happens, an embarrassing loss is the result.

I can't believe Treliving still won't hire a task master. None of the clowns on this flames team have earned a soft coach. Ward is too soft.

Time machine.

I'd like to see him healthy scratched the next time they play the Oilers... maybe call up Pospisil to take his place

Hanifin and Hamonic are your ice time leaders.

Ward is a terrible coach. He's been bailed out by good goaltending and shootout wins. If the Flames can't see how useless this guy is then we are doomed as fans.

Guys, we have won 3 of 4. Bad effort tonight, but holy cow, you guys are sucks.
Lucic will not fight for this team at all, don't expect it. Buddy will scrap every game if you let him, keep him, sit the non players.
The media is oiler centric, don't ever think otherwise.

Well if the players can shrug off this embarrassing disaster then I guess we should be able to do the same.

Only ONE guy showed any anger tonight. One. That shows you what kind of team we have.
