Yes I noted the LW issue in my post. Problem is I didn’t come across of right handed players that fit what we need.

Didn’t hear Carter say that.

Just pick up Ryan Reaves and we can bulldoze our way into the Stanley Cup Finals!

Turris? Nashville might be willing to move on from him. Turris is more a middle 6 centre, but I feel like it wouldn't be hard to convert him to RW/C duties like Lindholm.

But for all of his positives, I'm not totally sure about fit. He's older at 30 years old, he's skilled, but not physical and his 6 million AAV contract might not be the type of cap hit we want to allocate to him either.

Some potential names:

2015 Draft:
- Arizona: Fischer
- Anaheim: Sprong

2016 Draft:
- New Jersey: McLeod
- Minnesota: Kunin
- Buffalo: Thompson
- Tampa Bay: Raddysh

2017 Draft:
- Florida: Tippett
I'm pretty intrigued by Christian Fischer, but he seems to have really stalled in Pheonix-he's been pretty invisible this year. That said, I really liked his skating last game, and he has a little bit of power forward in him. He's big-6'2", physical, and plays RW. Maybe a change could re-ignite his development, but he would need some time.

I can't help but think there's still a deal to be made with Toronto at some point this season for a winger.

Nylander has 27 pts in 54 games over the last season and a bit. How is $6.95M AAV 'reasonable' for that kind of production?

Also, the Flames are soft and easy to play against. They are also tight to the cap. And, they are deep on wing, but weak at C. So if you want to improve the team, the way to go about it is NOT to pursue a small, soft, expensive winger.

Further to the above, Nylander 0.50 PPG since the beginning of last year.

Frolik: 0.52 PPG in 65 games over the same time frame.

Just goes to show how crucial it is to have a role on a team. Nylander made his payday before Kapanen blew up, before Marner was elite, before Tavares showed up. Suddenly his niche was no longer desireable. On the flip side you can look at Lindholm on our team... even on the PP he rarely has to make a high end pass or escape from pressure... Tkachuk and Gaudreau handle that while he focuses on getting his wrister or onetimer on net. Simple, but evidently highly effective for a guy who never cracked 50pts inhis previous stop.

I dunno if or where Nylander would fit on this team. But I do like that he is a versatile, skilled, right shot forward who isn't undersized. Shedding a Lucic ain't exactly an option though.

One thing is for sure though, there're only so many points to go around. A better question is what roles are filled
