Dallas just out-muscled the Flames and clogged everything up. Didn't help that Calgary came out flat. I do think that Calgary needs some scoring muscle in games like this, however - a forward with some sandpaper to his game that can muscle his way through these big teams that play shut-down hockey at times.

Good push in the third, but you can't always expect to play 1/3 of the game and win. Move on. Can't win them all.

Regroup and be ready for the toughest test of the season against the Lightning. Gotta show up for 60 mins.
At least the Ducks lost too.

Don't just not play cause it's the third in four.

Please come out guns blazing on Thursday.
Flames have been shut out 3 times and that is a lot?

All 3 games on the road, 2 of 3 are 3 games in 4 days, the other is after blowing Vegas out 4 days earlier. Let’s not get dramatic.

I'll actually be disappointed in the DOPS if Hathaway isn't suspended for a couple games. May or may not have been intentional but you can't get a goalie in the head like that.

No place for that in the game.

A few posters have mentioned this so "missing player"... its ridiculous how Neal was supposed to check all of these boxes.

Amazing to see the contrast in the ice when going straight from Dallas to the end of the Edmonton game on Sportsnet.

Bennett and Neal were totally invisible and Smith didn’t make a single save.
So bush league.

Oh well. Played better in the third heading into next game. One of those games. Still kept it close.

A rare game this season where they had no jam, no drive, no creativity. Much booing.

@Hockeyguy15 (for some reason quoting is not working for me all of a sudden)

You're right. I guess it seemed like a lot because those games where we did get shutout happened close-ish together recently. I thought there was 1 earlier in the season, but nope.

Also the loss helped Dallas inch closer to knocking the Oilers out of the wild card.

Takes a little of the sting away.

No bueno.

I recorded the game and watched much of it on ff. But those first two periods looked really bad. Flames rarely had the puck in the Dallas end.

No big deal if it’s just this one game.

They won't. I'm going and I'm 0-2 this season (Nashville and Pittsburgh).
