I think he should get 2-3 games, but will probably just get a fine because it was against Tkachuk.

I've never seen anyone so confident in the NHL disciplinary department.

The fact they called a hearing means something is coming....it could be just a fine, but unless he has video evidence/suffient explanation that contradicts what the PSD sees, it will be a suspension.

It's a brutal shot and he has done the exact same thing before.
Now you would think 3-5 games for sure.
As others have said, with the pathetic state of NHL discipline, probably will just get a fine.

If this isn't a suspension then NHL has lost all credibility IMO.
It's clearly a shot to the head/face, which is suspendable, whether its a elbow, shoulder, cross-check, whatever...it's a head shot, plain and simple.

According to a friend, Landeskog was playing as an "extra" at todays Avs practise, so it should be at least one game's suspension.

Interesting that the NHL noted that's he is no longer considered a repeat offender under the CBA. How long do you have to be incident free to get that status removed?
4 games is one more than I thought he'd get. NHL got it right here I think

Yea agreed, not too hard, not too soft. Hopefully this dosent hurt Colorado's season too much, would hate it for the Oilers to make any hay outta this.

IMO he should have got 5. I thought he'd get 3.
4 is acceptable.
I'm still pissed about Mantha getting zero supplemental.

From the CBA section 18.15(d):
Code:
status as a "first" or "repeat" offender shall be re-determined every eighteen (18)
months on a rolling basis. For example, where a Player is suspended for the first time, he
becomes a repeat offender if he is suspended again within eighteen (18) months of the first
incident. If he does not have another suspension within eighteen (18) months of the first
incident, his next suspension will be treated as a "first" offense.
Landeskog's last suspension was in March 2016

Stood out for me too. He got 3 games just a year or so ago. Maybe things are wiped out after a calendar year? Seems odd though and arbitrary.
That said, it sounds like the league is taking that previous incident still into consideration for this incident, so I am guessing someone in the union won’t like it.
But no sniff of the league when it comes to the intention sticking out of the leg by Benn to go knee on knee with Gaudreau?
