I know I’m the major minority her but Cuthbert’s voice is mind numbing irritating to me. He can stick to the CFL for all I care. And Bob Cole should’ve retired 20 years ago. He’s constantly calling players by the wrong name or butchering it with mispronunciation. He also spaces out and goes off on these weird off topic tangents. Give me Ball, Hrudy, Maher, Debrusk, Emerick, Hughson (aside from Vancouver games), Simpson, Randorf, Miller, etc. over Cuthbert and Cole any day.

I stick by randorf as a good play by play guy. Comes across as exciting without trying to be clever or over the top.

Peter Maher for me.

Those years when the online feed of Fan960 was the only available way for me to at least hear Flames games live were amazing. Woke up at night, cleaned my mom ´s car from the snow and drove to work /had permission from my boss to go to the office at night, because that was the only place where was internet, did not have the internet connection at home those days/. It was fantastic for me to hear his unbeliavable voice and to hear the atmosphere at the Saddledome, dreaming about me getting there one day :-) That day came at 2011 and I met Petr Maher by accident when I was leaving from one of the pregame practices of the Flames in the morning....Coincidence? I guess not, it was meant to be! Was sooo happy, that one of those 5 Flames games back in 2014 I came to CGY for was Peter Maher Night at the Saddledome. Saw his farewell on my own eyes. That was a huuuuge experience for me!

And from TV guys - Peter Loubardias, he was some kind of special :-) Loved his voice, enthusiasm and everything. I met him in 2011 too. Asked him: "Can I take some kind of picture with you?" :-) He laughed a lot and took a pic with me :-) Awesome guy!

I listen to Wills and Loubardias on the radio on game nights that I work, I like them as a duo as well. I liked Lou since he was our TV play by play guy too. His prospect knowledge is some-kinda impressive and he can pull stats and obscure records out of thin air.

.....Who was the PBP guy?
sounds to me like it was Joe Bowen (sp?), he is the guy who handles local leaf broadcasts in southern ontario - when i lived out in ontario he was the only thing that made leaf broadcsts tolerable.

as many have mentioned, to em the best of bob cole and harry neale - i thought bob was great in teh 2002 olympics when sakic scored the 5th goal and bob noted how "surely that is enough".

don wittman was also great and to me the voice of the flames run in 2004 - don was also versitle in calling curling, trank and field and cfl football.

i also like lubo. doc emerick has a nice voice to listen to as well.

Wills and Lou are a solid pairing. I enjoy listening to them. Their chemistry wasn't there immediately but they grew into it.

Hrudey and Ball are my preferred grouping.

I'm also enjoying Cassie Campbell as well. She's growing into the role and i'm interested to see where she gets in a year or two.

I also liked Roger Millions on PBP as well.

That game 7 call in 2004 vs Canucks. One of the best.
