Best game I've seen him play in at least a year and a half. Many smart defesive plays and quick outlets, like what? Please bottle this game Dennis and give us more of it.
This would have been a positive result if they hadn't no showed a very easy game last night. A hard fought point on the second of back to backs is no issue. Now though, the week going 1-2-1 is a bad week. First bad week I can recall since they turned it around, but weeks like that will have them fall out the race fairly fast, with our start can't have too many weeks like this one.

That was a fun game. Talbut is a good goalie, that said, an Oilers playoff run is doubtful, goalies useually struggle after 65 games. Either way, I will always look back at the last decade fondly.
Once Talbot reaches the point of exhaustion, which could be fairly quick since they can't trust anyone else in net and are not givng him any rest, the Oilers will start falling down the standings. Without him, they are only marginally better than previous years.
I thought it was a pretty even game. Pretty physical game overall. As much as I hate the shootout, IMO it came down to the 3 posts Calgary hit.
ARGGGGHHH!!!! We had this one!! But at least we got the point. If were gonna lost, let's at least lose make it to OT like the Oilers seem to do all the time.

As you watch players make mistakes and get beat with the 3 on 3, more reason for more 3 on 3. Can't wait until they rid of the shootout some day, it will make the penalty shot great again. On that topic, great game.

Not happy about scoring a combined 2 goals against the Devil's and the Oiler's. Offense needs some different looks or maybe just shoot on net more often.

This.
This happened to the Flames for years when miikka kiprusoff was here.
Full marks to the Flames for an excellent effort overall. Even Wideman skated well. Elliott was outstanding; those two huge saves in overtime...wow.
I really really hate to mention the officiating, but it was pretty brutal, especially in the third period. Many blatant holds and a clear interference play uncalled.
You're about the only one that hates the "blame the ref" crap more than me, but come on refs. Jeff Marek on Sirius XM the other day said he was talking to some stats people about it and he gave the "I'm not one for conspiracy theories, BUT...". Calgary was the least penalized team for the year and a half before the Wideman incident and have become one of the highest (actually highest this year). He said the stats guys broke it down and the penalties that are responsible for the increase were calls like crosschecking that happen all game and only some are called
