Flames have at least 4 prospects in the semis, which guarantees that at least 2 Flames prospects will win a medal. If Canada wins, at least 3 will, obviously.

Iwo Jima and a neck tattoo. We should trade him to the oilers.

Hischier names player of the game for Switzerland, Bracco for USA.
Craig Button adamant that player of the game should have gone to Parsons for USA.

Vegas must be drooling at the possibility of Hischier. Exciting player.

That is what I said after the win over Russia. He probably could have stopped Hishier's second goal if Kunin didn't camp out in his way.

There is also the possibility that Arizona comes out with him after losing the McDavid/Eichel/Matthews sweepstakes.

As long as it's not Vancouver I can live with it.

Did they not sell out in Montreal for this semi final?

Nice chance by Dube there after he made a terrible outlet pass in his own zone.

If Parsons is the starter I'll be cheering for the US. I don't put too much stock in nationalism when it comes to this tournament. Way rather see Flames prospects do well, if Canada wins its nice but if Flames prospects don't have good tournaments im disappointed. Parsons should start the the rest of the tournament and I think he will.

Dube with another great shift, not a big player but has great positioning going into the corners and just wins battle after battle for the puck. Really liking what I'm seeing in this guy, has been a sparkplug for this team through out the tournament.

Am I the only one who thinks Strome and Marner are overrated?

Yeah, the fact he plays PK, is out in the last minute protecting a lead and obviously has some offensive ability shows he has a pretty decent all around game. Really excited to see how he progresses in the next couple of years.

27 points in 37 games as a rookie isn't that bad.
Stroke has been underwhelming though.

Do they release per game attendance figures? Looks like the building is only 2/3 full. For other games I'd assume the tickets were sold as part of packages and just not being used but for Canada I would think the crowd should be pretty close to the tickets sold.

Strome for sure is overrated but that's a hard no on Marner. The kid is a right handed Johnny in the making and it's great to see because the league is benefiting from these smaller players like Gaudreau, Atkison, Panarin, Kane, Marner ect.
I truly believe Matthew Phillips can be a player like that at the NHL level after following him more closely this year. He's an exciting prospect, something happens almost every shift he's on the ice, Dave Lowry raves about him and I feel like he could be something special.

Pretty brutal crowd for a quarterfinal of the host nation. Canadian games were packed when Calgary and Edmonton hosted.
