I still have trouble getting over how they lost that series. Fleury led the playoffs in points per game and goals per game while Housley led the playoffs in assists per game.

IIRC it had more to do with a hot Sharks goalie. Although I don't remember who it was (Irbe?).

Lol. Nope, the Flames really didnt have too much trouble scoring in that series. Kidd couldnt stop a beach ball though.

Ah for some reason I remember Irbe and cursing his 3 feet wide goalie pads. Funny how people remember things differently. Maybe he stole game 7?

SJ put in Wade Flaherty near the end of the series and didnt stubbornly stay with a crappy goalie like we did.

I remember game 7 of that 1995 series. ZZ took a slap shot in OT that was labelled for the corner but hit the knob of Flaherty's stick. Couldn't believe we lost that series. I bet we set an NHL record for most goals scored while losing a playoff series

Man Zalapski had a quick fall from grace. I distinctly remember he was the most popular Flame in the Sun's "You Be The Boss" poll his first year with the Flames. Within a year or two he was the least popular.

I seem to remember him getting knocked out cold in game 7 against the Canucks in '94

I remember Mike Lownsborough had some kind of show with Scott Coe from the Stamps where they did goofy stuff like join an old women's church choir.

I loved his call. I'm curious how influential that CNN Sports Tonight with Cellini and Hickman was? I remember watching it excitedly every night.
