No to Parenteau. They might have well have kept Raymond instead of picking up Parenteau. At least Raymond has some speed.

I will say that "calgaryfan1988" post does make sense if both Paranteau and Bollig clear.

Wow first Frk, now Pulkkinen? Detroit putting so much time in developing their youth only to end up having to cut them and potentially lose them. Crazy.

With that said, hoping the Flames grab Pulkkinen, but I'll be surprised if TOR doesn't grab him first. :/

Pulkkinen is a guy I'd try with Johnny and Monahan. Huge upside.

Doubt he makes it to us, but maybe the other teams ahead of us priority wise won't have room... I hope.

Sometimes when you overcook your prospects you get burned.

Parenteau wouldn't be a bad pickup - we could use another playmaking winger. . .

Lander is the only player drafted by the Oilers outside of the first round since 2007 to hit 100 games played with the Oilers.

Sometimes you get burned by prospects no matter how you manage them.

Wouldn't be upset at a parentau claim. Hoping for pulkkinen though that would be awesome

K I think we are just on two different wavelengths here. I'm of the opinion the Flames won't pick him up just to address RW, it would be to add offense (in the event Gaudreau was not signing anytime soon).

The Flames are going to have to sharpen their pencil if they want to meaningfully address the depth issues on either wing. A guy like Paranteau barely moves the needle imo. He's nothing more than a half measure solution.

If a player is claimed don't they need to stick with the big club for a certain amount of games before you can try to send him down if so desired?

Parenteau is like a Glencross clone. Will score some goals and not do much else. I doubt anyone claims him.

If you want to send someone down that you claimed on waivers, they have to go back on waivers first (and clear of course) for that to happen.

Didnt Pulkkinen knock Abbotsford out of the AHL playoffs a few seasons ago?

With the risk if being a wet blanket, I'd be shocked if Pulkkinen makes it past Toronto. He was apart of the Phaneuf to Detroit deal that got scuttled.

I hope the Flames pick up Pulkinnen but they did just pass on Frk so I don't think they do.
