Attached garages that are not insulated are very energy inefficient, especially they'll show up as such if you have a nice warm car parked inside. Doors you can't do anything about, but a parked car inside poorly insulated garage will probably light the map up like a Christmas tree.

Could be a number of things. If you were away from on vacation and had the heat turned way down you would probably show up as fairly efficient from your heat map. Also depends on things like ventilation placement and how the plex is laid out. If all of your heat/exaust/vents are all clustered in one place on the roof/house, that unit will show up as extra hot.

Or your neighbours are all running grow ops. Keep in mind they were only doing this on one night.

I just noticed all the duplexes that my builder put up, including mine, are consistently leaking heat like crazy consistently across the board... Frick... I should get that checked out

I figured it out, per the MyHeat website:

Quote:
For cities currently available online on the MyHEAT platform, the data was collected in October 2015, after 11:00 PM, in order to nullify any impact of solar loading.
I was not moved into my unit yet at that time and the other units were already occupied/finishing completion. That's why the others have heat maps and mine, none as it was likely turned way down in between showings etc. and the others had heat from occupancy/developers working in the unit.

My plex has specific vent placements that wouldn't make any unit specifically shine brighter. They're placed on the boundaries between the units. I thought of that when I first looked at the heat map.

EDIT: Called in, told the Enmax guy about the ATCO January promotion and saved $60. Thanks guys! That'll dent my black Friday shopping a little bit.

So is anyone actually able to comment if ATCO is cheaper than Enmax for electricity?

I did a comparison on the UCAhelps website and it looks like Enmax is still cheaper..
