ITS A TRAP!
Best ideo IMO is to go solo. First dates at a wedding are not a great idea. Girls go to a wedding and start thinking about getting married and how nice it looks. Then they look at their date and things get serious, if they don't, they protest.
Single girls at a wedding have the same wedding goggles on but are not there with you to begin with. Therefor if you meet them at a wedding there are not sky high expectations of getting married.
Plus you will enjoy the wedding much more single than on a first date. Bring a wingman with you and see if there is anyone there your interested in.
Unless this girl is someone you want a long term relationship with (plus some messy work rumors ect.) than go solo. Han Solo.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with the "don't do it" crowd. Go solo.

As for the 'solo' crowd, I'm telling you, its a real dick move to RSVP for two and then have one bail. That is so not cool.

I don't usually offer, but if you are still in a bind,
I will be your date to the wedding.

+2 for taking a wingman. (wedding crashers already mentioned)
No need to make work uncomfortable if things go wrong.

Well I dunno fellas. I'm pretty firmly in the "sleep with her, figure it out later" camp, but my advice is generally pretty bad when it comes to stuff like this.
At least if you get wasted you can blame the booze for poor choices.

Put me down in the "bring a random girl from Tinder" camp.
Hell, put that in your profile.

So.... I saw pictures from the bachelorette party last night. I think it may be prudent to fly with a wingman on this one. I'll probably just bring a buddy.
Pretty mixed reaction in here, if nothing it was entertaining. Thanks everyone!

When the food arrives start loudly rating each food item. Create a "what I'm going to eat" and a "gross" plate. Get really hammered and offer the rest of the table the "gross" plate if they want it. Get even more hammered and take the plate to the head table where you can accidentally drop it all over the bride. Take your wedding gift off the table on the way out because they'll never talk to you again anyways.

That proves it's a good plan. Eliminate people who aren't easy going as early as possible.
No need to acquire yourself a personal escort from the Fun Police
I found lots of weddings where I went Hope Solo ended up being the ones with zero interesting single girls. Every time I brought a date that I debated leaving at home, I wished I went solo because the abundance of opportunities.
Oh, and I met my wife while solo at a wedding.

I'm confused. Did you stop people from scoring, or did you get drunk and start punching family members?
