Both roughly the same age.
One a budding star winger.
One a budding star defenseman.

Gotta admit, the value has to be fairly close there.
For that comparison, you'd take the guy who can score the most 100% of the time.

Avoid this Hamilton gong show at all costs. Flames don't have the assets to play this poker game.

If I were Edmonton, I'd give up Eberle and 16th overall pick. Seems like a pretty fair trade for both teams.

Yah, I don't think id like that trade, I just think that is probably in the ballpark of what it might cost for Dougie.

In the meantime, they'll have most likely at least $4m to spend on roster improvements on top of whatever they clear to try and remain competitive if they wish.
All of those guys should be moved before Hamilton. The only one with priority over Hamilton would probably be Bergeron and maybe Rask.

Eberle's cap hit does not help the Bruins at all.

It's a good thing K-Lown and MacT aren't in charge anymore, they would have claimed it was their idea to make that kind of offer. Don't give them any ammo to make logical decisions, they seem to like to buck that trend.

I think if Edmonton's involved it would have to be Draisaitl for Hamilton, no?

It would have to be Draisaitl plus something.

Hamilton might very well be the same but I don't want to risk it. It would be a terrible day for a Flames fan if Gaudreau got traded. I really can't think of any sort of realistic package that would make me happy.

I might be the only one who wouldn't trade him for 1OA this year, even if it wasn't too Edmonton.
You wouldn't trade Gaudreau for McJesus?

Nope. Not until he proves something in the NHL.

Lets see how he plays against grown ups.

Hamilton is a stud. I'd give up a lot to get him on the Oilers.

I would take this for sure if I were Boston. No add needed.

I forgot they had Draisaitl. Or if not, Yakupov and 16th overall? Maybe add a 2nd rounder to sweeten it some more. Hate the Oilers, but they have a ton of trade ammo for big trades.

You're kidding me right? I'd trade Monahan AND Gaudreau to land McDavid.

I would want more as Boston. Draisaitl isn't worth Hamilton straight across.

It'd take Money Johnny and Bennett to even have the Oil pick up the phone. That wouldn't get it completely either for McJesus.
