I don't see how you can compare the history and culture of a city/region like Paris to that of Calgary. They are hundreds of years apart in age.

That's a supreme insult to the thousands of artists, volunteers and philanthropists that have helped define this city through dedicated motivation, passion for their businesses and desire to make this city better.

Calgary is what it is...you can throw a bunch of money into this, that and the next thing to try to establish some kind of identity but really what it comes down to is that we are largely a city of get rich fast transients that will leave on a dime when it all goes south.
