Just a gripe here, the most important time of the day for Flames related news, 2nd round of the playoffs and the Fan 960 is checked out for 2 hours of Jim Rome.
They will be doing basically 12+ hours of Flames coverage today including the game and overtime. I'd cut them some slack this morning. We can wait an extra hour for all the coverage and takes. The fan simply doesn't have the manpower to be covering Flames all hours of the day.
Does anyone know anyone in the audio/jumbotron group of the Flames? I think they really need to leave the music off at the start of the game. Let the crowd take it. They come on it's loud, and then boom into music that drowns people out and makes them wait for the next silence to be rowdy.
Leave it.
No music before Oh Canada, no music after. Just angry red wall of hate.
I couldn't agree more.
Game 3 was frustrating because the crowd was trying to start a chant and they were blaring some music. After the intro video and music they need to go silent and have Harvey start the chant until the anthems.

I'm sure I remember reading someone on CP saying they were somewhat involved (not directly responsible) for the music during Flames games.

#Flames projected pairings for Game 4:
Russell-Wideman
Brodie-Engelland
Schlemko-Diaz
Goaltenders:
Ramo (Starter)
Hiller
I JUST realized ....
We arent actually all that small outside of Russell, Gaudreau, Hudler, Bennett, Diaz. And Russ/Bennett dont plays small at all + Huds, Johnny and Diaz work very hard.
Just realized with Bouma back in, on top of Jones, Colborne, Engelland, Bollig, Monahan, Backlund, Wideman. Add Ferland to that when he is back and we have a lot of players over 6'0 and above or around 200lbs.
I'd just love to see this lineup sometime in the playoffs. I think we can win the cup if we get past the ducks and get our captain back
Scratch Raymond and Bollig throw in Ferland and Poirier to give the 4th line more speed, checking, scoring punch and youthful exuberance. Gio comes back and defense goes back to what it was except Brodano will be our 2nd pairing on D to help gio ease back in. Smid drawing in if a defenseman is injured or not performing well.

Smid will not be back, but that's actually a good thing. Love the guy's heart, but way too slow and makes dumb decisions

Bollig has earned his way into the lineup even when everyone's healthy.
He has scored 2 huge goals in these playoffs and adds some much needed size and grit.

Very true ^ not at all saying he deserves to be out, but I just think the 4th line could be killer with more youth and speed / scoring punch. Bollig has been a hero this post season for sure.
I think scratching Etem is a mistake for them. He's been their best bottom 6 forward in the series IMO. I can't imagine that he isn't a faster option than Sekac as well. Etem can fly.

-Colborne spent some time in front of the crease deflecting point shots
-Wideman worked specially on his one timer
-Monahan and Hudler left first followed by Ramo, Bouma and Johnny
-All forwards left leaving only dmen left
-Gio spent lots of time after the others went off to work with coaches on skating and his shot. His accuracy and strength is off still. No slappers were made.

LOL Was looking for a funny Perry gif but didn't find a good one. Found this instead:
I came to Saddledome for Game 3 early enough and saw Perry doing his jinxing schtick, when he comes to the ice gate and rotates the stick in his hands for 5 minutes. What a dork.

Yeah, seems like a bit of a strange move. Great for us, though.

Wasn't it Preds fans that jinxed Perry with a troll or gnome or something?
