OP another question, should I be converting my assets into Bitcoins? I feel like fiat currency is on its way out but I'm not sure if I'm that sure

You can if your just common law too. At least here in B.C . You break up you can still take the same legal actions as a divorce.

OP can you answer me this, does it apply to marrying men as well? Or is that like a double negative where it's actually positive?, thanks in advance.

That's also because of the economic state of things. People are leaving home at a later time as they cannot afford to be in school and work. Living with your parents until your mid 20's is now common. People can't afford a wedding either until they have a sure footing. I don't like traditional marriage as it is usually a religious ceremony. I would how ever just have a big party to celebrate each other.

I knew someone would say this exact generic answer. Nice try though.

So people are not getting married but are living common law, which is something your MTGOW folks consider the same thing, because it is bondage for you, because legally/financially, it is pretty much identical.
How then are you able to not count the common-law marriages in citing this statistic that marriage is in decline?
That's not even counting people who are delaying marriage for the simple fact that they are living at home during school or even longer to pay back student loans etc. That's not a marriage issue, that's a comment on our economy.

One took me a couple years to comes to grips with. Once that happens, you grow a little leery. You don't want to experience those feelings again. But it numbs you, and eventually makes the short term break ups seem very insignificant.
My fear is I won't be as lucky as a guy like you. I have a history that dictates I won't, so I try not to get too attached. Now I tend to grow tired of women after about 6 months. I just can't stay focused it seems, and my big fear isn't their lack of commitment, it would more be my fear of being able to commit long term.
I know there is a lot of underlying issues that make me feel and act the way I do now. But most importantly, I am happy as long as I stay at arms length.

Sorry Pylon, I wasn't taking a shot at you, apologize if it came across that way. Was trying to point out, perhaps poorly, that both are possible. Takes a lot of work no doubt and there are times I wish I was in my mid 20's single and living large but at the end of the day do what makes you happy.
I appreciate your honesty and understand where you are coming from. Make no mistake I know how lucky I have been. Hell, I'll buy ya beer when I'm in town next week so I can remember what's it like to be relatively care free.
In all honesty I only got married to have kids. Somebody needs to change my adult diaper and pay for my Shady Pines Home living.

"Men unable to properly cohabitate with women, blame women for all their insufficiencies as a person" would also likely work.

I could see marriage trending downwards over time. It's expensive, and its a religious institution to get married, and religion is playing less and less of a role in people's lives these days (given scientific advances, atheist views, etc.). It's also very expensive and time-consuming to get married and have children in a world that is getting increasingly expensive and centered around career development and societal achievements.
Look at Japan, they're in full-on dive mode when it comes to their marriage and birth rate; and they're amongst the world leaders in being an educated and technological society. Lots of this is due to the cost of living, I'd assume.
I've toyed with the idea of never getting married. Mainly not because I can't afford it, but because I just don't see what benefit it really has in today's day and age for me. I like my independence, and I like knowing I own 100% of my own things I've worked hard for. But I understand that for many people, marriage a great thing. And I support whatever anybody else decides, mainly because I don't really care what anyone else does.

I don't see the need for the militant approach with this whole MGTOW thing, but I do see the point. Traditional marriage is a slowly decaying institution and I don't think people (men AND women) should feel trapped or expected to do it. Not sure why this has to be in a penis context though.

I guess I'm just lucky . I have been with my girlfriend 6 years. I enjoy all the freedom of what Pylon was saying and so does she.
I want a new toy I get it.
She wants a new Item she gets it.
I wanna go hang out with the guys I don't need permission she gets I need guy time even If its last minute. If couples can't understand you are two separate people with different needs then It will never work.
