Most women work these days, so you don't lose all your stuff, more like a differential between what you and she brings in. Mostly because of systemic sexism in how women are paid in the workforce compared to men, but that's a separate issue, I guess.
But what if you work, and she stays at home and looks after the kids. You're saying there's no value that should be attributed to managing the household, raising "your" kids, etc?

Damn it! Where was prime333 all those years ago when I was young? I could have spared myself getting married and spending the last dozen years or so with a wonderful women and two of the cutest kids a guy could ask for, full of love and laughter, sadness and great joy. I also bought a motorcycle (now sold), a new car recently, went camping with the boys a month or so back and had cigars at the a poker tournament. I also got the greatest pat on my head when I couldn't get off the couch from 3 year old playing doctor to take care of "sick" daddy after said cigar/poker game.
I fata'd this whole thing up I guess. I hope there is a support group out this way. Think of all the joy I couldn't have had. Sign me up.

There's a whole lingo that goes along with this, reading the MGTOW forums is hard without knowing the lingo, so here you go.

My favorite: Incel - Involuntarily Celibate.
So much wrong with so few words.

Incel?
Does that mean that a guy wants to sleep around but for unknown reasons he can't find a partner?

This whole thing sounds like a dating version of "you can't fire me, I quit".

I am against any masculine empowerment that doesn't involve going into the woods and banging on a drum. Oh yah - and facepaint. Dames all want to stop us from wearing facepaint.
Also, MGTOW is a terrible acronym. Clearly nobody in this movement has a background in marketing. How about "Circle of Unleashed Men", or CUM - then you can ask your male acquaintances, "My friend, can I interest you in CUM?", and no doubt a fair proportion will be both intrigued and receptive.

No.
I believe that statistics would support an increase in the total number of marriages occurring per capita compared to 50 years ago.

Don't worry, I am sure he has stats/material to back up his claims. I mean come on, it is not like is coming across as some type of nutcase.

Nope statistics have actually shown a decrease in marriages.

There hasn't been a misogynistic/woman hating thread in a while so I guess calgarypuck was due for one.
OP can you answer me this, does it apply to marrying men as well? Or is that like a double negative where it's actually positive?, thanks in advance.

You are very lucky to be so happy. If I could guarantee I could have the same, I would jump in. But there is no guarantees. I have had a couple devastating break ups from a couple long term (5yr+) relationships. Like the worst possible scenarios you could ever imagine types. One took me a couple years to comes to grips with. Once that happens, you grow a little leery. You don't want to experience those feelings again. But it numbs you, and eventually makes the short term break ups seem very insignificant.
My fear is I won't be as lucky as a guy like you. I have a history that dictates I won't, so I try not to get too attached. Now I tend to grow tired of women after about 6 months. I just can't stay focused it seems, and my big fear isn't their lack of commitment, it would more be my fear of being able to commit long term.
I know there is a lot of underlying issues that make me feel and act the way I do now. But most importantly, I am happy as long as I stay at arms length.

I have seen an increase in marriages as well. I know about a dozen people who are on their second marriage by the age of 30 and I know 5 people who are on their third marriage before the age of 35.
