Goal by Anze Kopitar. 1-0 Slovenia. The winner gets a chance to upset the Swedes.

Really pulling for the Slovenian's for some reason. Great underdog story.

Has Vanek done anything in Sochi? Grabner has been a much bigger presence for the Austrian's.

Either Austria looks terrible or Slovenia looks awesome. Leaning towards Austria looking quite poor.
2-0 Slovenia.

Hughson enjoys saying "Kopitar“ far too much.

Austria playing in quicksand, expecially in their own zone. Just an awful performance.
Saw a stat that says Slovenia has 148 registered *sr male* hockey players. They're going to finish top 8. Unbelievable.
They have 943 total registered players.

Man, all this fog must be quite a challenge for these ladies. I find it hard and annoying enough to ski in the fog when I'm not racing anybody.

TSNRyanRishaug: As of today looks like Duchene is 14th f. No power play time for Subban at practice, so likely 8th d

Women's short track 1000m heats:
Valérie Maltais qualifies for the quarters by winning her heat in Olympic record time
Marie-Ève Drolet advances in second as the Chinese skater is DQd, also advancing the Italian skater
Not able to watch at work, so I'm unsure of the details, but it seems Marianne St-Gelais fell, taking out the Dutch skater, who was also advanced with the top 2 in the heat. Marianne will not move on and has one chance remaining later on in the relay.

Men's short track 500m heats:
Charlie Cournoyer and Olivier Jean both win their heats to move on to the quarterfinals.
Looks like Charles Hamelin had another fall and his Olympics is done. Unfortunate for him, such high expectations after a great start with the gold in the 1500m.
