And here I thought Sven was one of the better forwards tonight,,too much booze I guess.
And please, please forking please find a way to get Butler off this team.

Probably the best goaltending I've seen on the Flames since Kipper retired. If this is what we can expect out of Ramo in the future then the rebuild will go a lot quicker than most think IMO. Hopefully this lights a fire under Berra and we get a proper goalie duel for the #1 spot. After seeing franchises like Nashville, LA, St. Louis, etc. having 2 great young goaltenders fighting to be the starter, the Flames are due

Ramo really looks to be an NHL caliber goalie. Hopefully he can keep it up and we never have to see Berra again. While I do like Berra, I think his game is too out of control. He's a challenger which could work on some teams but this Flame's team is too weak defensively to cover the open guys on the back door or pick up the rebounds. I think he would work on a team like Boston or St. Louis.

No game this season has deserved this more...
Great game by Ramo. Probably Backlund's best game of the year. I loved Byron and Jones on the PK.

Solid game by Ramo. Zero bad goals = Flames win
Giordano was a difference maker tonight. This team is so much more stable on the back end with him in the lineup (especially with Wideman out).

Yeah, but to be fair, he had very little chance to look anything but pathetic there.
He got hung out to dry when Yandle tried a suicide pinch to keep the puck in the o-zone. That failed badly as Stajan, with a head of steam, rushed toward Yandle, blocked the pinch attempt, and off to the races he went with Stempy. Ribeiro's left hanging and Yandle gets to wear the goat horns.
It wasn't a fair fight, especially since forwards are not used to covering 2-on-1s and Ribeiro's not exactly known for his defense.
That said, I'm glad Ribeiro got had by Stempy and Staj there. It's been too many times when he's been the one killing the Flames.

Ramo has had back to back games where the team in front of him limited the amount of turnovers in their own end and the odd man rushes. For the most part Ramo didn't face alot of difficult shots.
Berra looks out of control at times due to his not adjusting to the speed of the game and his over movements going from side to side. Given the small frame of games played I think it's too early to be writing off Berra
I see both as quality NHL goaltenders that can offset one another when their play goes south. If and when Gillies turns pro I doubt you will see any trades involving either goalie.

Ramo, Stajan, Brodie, and Backlund had great games tonight. Russell looked a little off tonight. Byron showed lots of energy on the forecheck and the PK. Fun game to watch tonight.

Gio seems to have a calming influence on the defence. Not many turnovers or odd man rushes by the Dogs.

Anyone else really like Byrons game? Thought he was great tonight in his limited icetime. Tenacious little guy that doesn't quit. I've always liked his game, but thought tonight and even Saturday he looked real good. Him and Jones seem to have some chemistry on the PK.
Backlund with another solid game. He is coming around and hopefully he can continue to improve his game. Just really don't want to see us give up on him. Giordano looked like he didn't miss a beat. Great to have the captain back in the lineup. Great to see Ramo with another solid performance. Continue to give him the net until he loses Hartley.
