Wow. Someone on the Flames bench must have sold their soul to Satan for that to happen.

Flames run around a lot less with Ramo in net. Seems to help the team when the goalie knows where his net is!

Hope the Flames re-sign Stajan and Stempniak. Vets that seem like they'd be good for the rebuild.

Not the kind of game you draw up, nor the one you file away under "How to play to win", but I'll take it. Got the bounces, buried our chances when we had them (thought the 2-on-1 was going to die on Stajan's stick), and got solid goaltending once again. It was kind of funny seeing Ramo "goon it up" with the penalties in the third.

Fantastic effort by Giordano in his first game back. Not to mention really good effort from the entire defence with blocked shots. I also really like Byron and Bouma as fourth liners, because they can also contribute on the PK when the line doesn't get a lot of even strength shifts.

Two games in a row only giving up a single goal. Ramo earns more starts. Five or six at minimum I would say, we have yet to see what he can do, and he has proved in the last two starts that he's deserving of more playing time.

Brodie and backlund with great games.

Don't trade backlund!

Also I finally realized why Butler is such a bad hockey player, he is terrible at passing the puck.

Rambo saved the game with 30 seconds left in the 2nd period after a putrid Butler giveaway. If the Coyotes scored there they probably win the game.

Backlund was great.

Felt Sven looked weak, lost every battle.

The captain returns and looks great. Brodie and Backlund with perhaps their best games of the season and Kris Russell solid again tonight.

Yeah it's pretty depressing when you get behind the Coyotes, you know it's going to be a thriller. Anyway, it's kind of a small sample size but Ramo looks so much better than earlier in the year. Maybe it was just rust or coming back to North America but he looks faster with better rebound control(still not great but much better). Hopefully he can keep it up.
