Really hope the Isles can pull off the upset, always like when the huge underdog wins.

So you wish he still played for Calgary? We all miss the guy, but you need to move on. He's not a Calgary Flame anymore.
Pretty rich that a Flames fan would be talking about never making it past the first round. You do know that last time our team did that (the only time in 23 years) it was largely on the back of #12 right?

You guys gotta remember, if you cheer for Iggy you are also cheering for Cooke. Can you really live with that?

How awesome would it be if Iggy did a Steve Smith and bank the winning goal off of Fleury's calf in Game 7 OT and then promptly rips off his Pen's jersey showing a #91 Savard Bruin's jersey underneath, while giving Cooke and Crosby the finger.

Does Crosby only have a broken jaw?
They're handling him with way too much caution. Why can't he return with a full cage?
Selanne broke his jaw at 39 and only missed 2 weeks. It's been more than a month for Crosby.

Not every injury is the same, and Crosby has already had multiple concussions.

Out of respect for Iggy I will cheer for the Pens. I just don't see any scenerio happening where the Isles are going to be able a pull off an upset. Its not happening folks.

I think that was puckluck's point. The Penguins have said that Crosby was not concussed by the puck to the jaw, but you'd think he'd be back by now if that were true.
Either way, the Penguins will be fine tonight and will go on to win the series in 4 or 5 games. Crosby needs to get back soon, though, because they'll need him in the upcoming rounds.

Yeah but this is starting to get a little annoying. I realize he's the franchise and they should take every precaution available but when I see guys like Regehr bust up his face and continue to play the game and other players that get concussed and play a couple of weeks later Crosby starts looking like a soft player. It's a broken jaw for crying out loud and has any player with a broken jaw ever been off for a month? I know players have played with their jaws wired shut. I guess Sid is special.
The Penguins are in a good position here to rest him because they should be able to put away the Islanders without him so I'm not saying it's a bad move. All I'm saying is that the kid is no warrior that's for sure.

I predict Iggy gets 2+1 tonight. Pens win 4-1.

Wishing Iggy the best, but not at the expense of the Flames. It's in our best interest for the Pens to lose this series. Go Isles Go!

Tonight's game will be huge in this series.
If the Islanders can get to Fleury tonight and put doubt into the Penguins lineup about their goalie, while sparking their own confidence, I could see an upset.
However if the Islanders get ran over tonight by the Penguins it might be a quick series, as I think it will break the Islanders spirit and they will doubt themselves being able to beat the Penguins.

I want to catch this game just to see which Iggy shows up. Even though I think he has played pretty decent since the trade, I have been kind of underwhelmed.
If I see the fired up playoff beast Iggy of old, I will be tuning in to Pitt games quite often.
He will have to earn his icetime as well. He will get his fifteen minutes for sure, but whether he is dialed in or not will determine if hits 20 minutes or more.
