I believe some Uber's would have car seats. I agree though, take Line 1 to Vaughn, and Uber the rest of the way (you're looking at a $15-25 ride in a normal Uber each way). Then you don't have to deal with a rental.
I just realized - you might actually benefit from the GO Transit weekend pass. Kids 12 and under ride free on GO. Passes are like $10-$15 each, and you can use GO buses to get there. This is NOT the same as the TTC (Line 1), and this might be a bit more comfortable.

Thinking of renting a car to head out to Canada's Wonderland, but would need a car seat. Any reccomendations?

Recommendations for a car seat?
Just get one with your rental car; pretty much every car rental place offers them.

Here's a link with information for all 168 events happening in the city for your dates. If you check the Free Festivals and Events box on the right hand filter pane, the list will get trimmed down to 100.

A few that jump out as being kid-friendly:
- ROMWalks (free)
- TD Salsa (Latino-themed event, free)
- Jays games
- Fun Philippines Food and Music Festival (free)
- Canadian Multicultural Peruvian Fest 2024 (free)
Have fun!

Headed to toronto in September to catch a few Jays games. Looking for reccomendations on where to stay. We want to be close to Rogers center. Just me and my wife, no kids.

I'd recommend the SoHo Hotel on Wellington Street. Used to live in the residence side of that building when it opened up; nice building, great location, stupidly close to Rogers Centre, the subway, and there tons of restaurants and stuff around that area, especially on King which is just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Also, The Well recently opened down the street from the SoHo on Front. Cool looking place to just bum around, hang out, and shop. I may also suggest Le Select Bistro across the street from the Well, which is an iconic restaurant in Toronto has great french food (it's where Matty Matheson cut his teeth!)

Anyone else find the smell in Toronto in the summer overwhelming? Whole city just smells like day old trash.

You get that in any city that’s warm and humid. One of the odd things about Calgary is how little it smells. That’s mostly down to how arid and windy it is.

If you're downtown on garbage day, it's mildly there. If you're on streets like Queen or Yonge with lots of street-level retail, yes its a bit more pronounced on garbage day. But that is any big city. New York, Chicago, LA, same problem.
Toronto is definitely cleaner than Alberta cities though IMO. Not nearly as dusty. I don't have to wash my care nearly as much here as was doing back in Calgary and Edmonton.

Toronto may be less dusty, but no way is it cleaner. And ya, it stinks.

Seeing as how I lived in Calgary for decades and have lived in Toronto for a while now, I suppose I don't have a good handle on the comparison, but we'll still have to disagree.

Calgary is dustier because it's dry and windy in southern Alberta.
