In the dreadfully silly Disney movie Gus, the coach of the equally dreadful California Atoms (Don Knotts) suggests the team needs to make a trade… but they've got nobody the other teams want.
The GM, played by Ed Asner, replies with the dripping sarcasm only Asner could do perfectly: ‘We've got nobody we want!’
Apart from the Wonder Twins, that pretty much describes the Oilers right now.

THAT'S the sort of BOLD move that the Oilers need. A hockey-playing mule --- or perhaps a Golden Retriever....

Do you know that Gus could kick field goals though thus disqualifying him from being the best player in the league without a goal.
Oilers would do well to sign Gus. At least he scores!

It was mentioned a few pages ago. But those goal visualizers in NHL's game summaries are pretty cool. And hilarious for last night. Just watch 97 on all goals against. Just priceless stuff. On the first goal Montreal has the puck deep in Edmontons zone and 97 floats back to the bench and just gets off to give his buddy Leon that sweet, sweet minus. On the 2nd goal, 97 flies the zone and is caught at centre ice when the puck goes in. The 3rd goal is pure comedy. 97 turns the puck over and immediately bee lines it to the bench to get off the ice before the puck crosses the line. Just classic from the worlds greatest digger.
Yeah that was me. It’s incredible when you see 97 and 29 going the opposite direction of play…and by that I mean whenever the puck is in the Oilers zone.
I’m going to be checking those little visualizers out in the future. It’s like a mini “this guy scored”!

But what is the mule played goal? Sure, the lack of an opposable thumb makes the catcher mitt impossible, but it could do a Dan Blackburn and have two blockers, or better yet... four leg pads! Kick, save and a beauty!!
What's this? Hockey media noticing the Oilers are worse than they were last year?
So it begins! Mcdavid looks pissed, can’t imagine he is wanting to re-sign, especially if the media is starting to say they aren’t good and don’t have resources to be good.

How do we watch this?
