Oh and your opinion on rotten tomatoes as a useless gauge is wrong given your argument that it's just a bunch of fanboys bumping the ratings up. You can limit the rating to just critics, or even further and use the "Top Critics" feature. Again, their opinion is no more right or wrong that mine or yours, but I don't think it's a site that can be totally disregarded either.

It's not a matter of opinion when 1 person makes claims of "best, no doubt about it", "7 for 7" and then tries to state they aren't a fanboy. Even further trying to list other films by acclaimed director's as inferior to the less than amazing films the they aren't a fanboy for. He made a statement of fact and I countered. When challenged the supposed non-fanboy continued to bang the drum. What's right and wrong in this case is stating personal opinion as fact and continuing to argue as such. That's what fanboys do.

Who cares? Either talk about The Dark Knight Rises or go take your pissing match to a new thread about fanboys.

Still not very happy about Hathaway as Catwoman. I think the outfit looks corny and the actress doesn't suit the role. I hope it turns out better than the impression it gives me in the trailers.

I think Theron should have done it. Far more edgy and buyable.

did i miss something that explains why Bane isn't huge in the movie? in every comic or game i've seen Bane in, he's a monster because of the titan formula. are they changing that entirely for the movie?

God forbid you encounter a fanboy on an internet message board.
This isn't Twilight or some other teen schlock we're talking about... even the most jaded movie fan would admit that Christopher Nolan has made a lot of excellent movies, even if they don't like them all. What's so wrong with someone being a Chris Nolan fanboy?

From Wikipedia
"According to costume designer Lindy Hemming, the character wears a mask that supplies him with an analgesic gas to relieve pain he suffers from an injury sustained "early in his story", while Nolan explained that the character was chosen because of the desire to "[test] Batman both physically as well as mentally".
So I'm thinking he isn't on the Titan formula?

Nolan has always tried to make things more realistic than the comic books portray, hence why the joker was so believable.
Im glad they didnt do some jacked up 8 foot tall dude, Either way Tom Hardy is jacked in the movie.

Or maybe since the Titan formula isn't real (and even if it was...) they can't make him pumped up like comic book Bane?
There is only so much bodybuilding the guy can do. Unless they want to hire Mr Universe to play Bane, or give Hardy a #### ton of steroids.
The only other option is CGI or costume/make-up/effects.

Lots of people seem to think that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be taking over for Batman at either some point in this movie or afterwords, depending on Bruce Wayne's status. I can't really tell from the trailer but does he look like he has bulked up at all? Certainly if the internet nerds were right about him taking over for Bruce Wayne he would have to put on some muscle.
Could just be me looking too hard but the scene where Gordon lights the flare and Batman comes out of the shadows, the mouth/chin don't really look like Bale's.

I think simply put Nolan doesn't want to use characters with superhuman, or unnatural powers. Even the Burton movies had villains with "superpowers", but Nolan is trying to make a trilogy that is as realistic as possible.
That and no one needs to remind of the last time Bane was "jacked up".... The Nolan look is the way to go, makes Bane look more authentic to say the least.

He should have shaumaker (sp?) things up too. Thrown some nipples on the batsuit. Put Alfred in some bondage gear made the new batmobile 10% more penisy.
Oh and lots of glow sticks and glow in the dark paint.
And make Cat woman as anti sexy as possible.

So....
And yes I realize she is still pretty damn sexy, but if Nolan wanted to troll us he should have brought in this horribly butchered version of Catwoman.

What a fantastic trailer! It has such a different feel to it when compared to the trailers of dark knight.

Count me in as another thumbs down to the Anne Hathaway casting. I usually like her, but not for this.

I love when she shows her surprisingly massive titties.
