In my opinion, the campground operators are lying. I do not trust them and I am not going to give them my credit card.
As Mr Banffgirl said, I also would pay my share, but I will not put up $100 just to lose it.
Also what if they pull the calling taxis thing and charge it to my card. Not cool.
Rereading: the 100 is supposed to be for site inspection, so I am not worried about that. I know it will be clean again. Hmm, I just can't get past the I dont trust them with my CC info.
If it's the field, then it's the field I don't care.
We will make the best of it.

Its not the $100 for me, its the CC#, I dont want the campground Gestapo to have it.
I'd be more than willing to give them $100 cash, that they could return upon final inspection of the campsite. We could all then put in a share and have that share returned at the wind up BBQ, assuming that we ever get our deposit back.
If they turn that down, then I'm concerned because $100 cash is better than a CC#.

All things told, we should stay at on deck. Being a bunch on internet people, it would be good for us to go out and converse with the outside world. we don't have to drive, the campground SS won't put burlap bags over our heads in the middle of the night and send us packing, and i can't imagine us being the loudes group up there, so we should blend right in!

well according to the email I got there is 154 sites there. I'm sure that'splenty but we probably need 2 or 3 and next to each other would be nice.
also still no schedule for the weekend but they have the standings done and guess what! We aren't the last place team this year!!
