1000% this.

In a similar vein, but she also couldn't answer when asked what her weakness is/where she can improve. She answered with "I consult every one on my team. So I guess my weakness is actually a strength."

Hard to get people on board when you can't give an honest answer or at least be well enough prepared to provide one that makes you appear human.

Biden's term wasn't a slam dunk, and didn't inspire confidence in many people. Pretending like it was is just failing to read the room.

She was acting like a subordinate that didn't want to rock the boat rather than paving her own way.

Disappointed, but not surprised. US just isn't progressive enough for a female president, let alone African American/Indian American one.

It’s painfully obvious that the Democrats and Liberals in Canada need to move to move back to the centre. They are bleeding votes to the right as their policies no longer appeal to a broad contingency of voters.

One political commentator on CNN put it best when he said that voters resonate with the policies of Donald Trump but not the messenger. Putting food on the table and paying bills, along with safety and security will garner more attention than some of the alternative priorities the left is seen as pushing.

This wave of conservatism will continue to gain momentum unless smart common sense policies and people return to the Democrats/Liberals. It’s just unfortunate that a guy like Donald Trump is the catalyst for this type of reckoning. The warning signs were there under his first presidency yet they continued to be ignored. Hopefully this sparks some real change and a shift back to the centre, although I’m not feeling overly optimistic.

12 year old grooming and 14 year old marriage are back on the menu for the beta ####s, abusive messed creepy old men! Whoop! No need to wait until 17 or 18 anymore!

Sick, you do you, but that should be a crime to any normal man who protects their kids or other families. It is really sick

And was Harris or her team divisive yet, or were you being whiney? Ignore 14 year girls but whine and whine and whine about divisive when you are. You support the party and are happy by supporting the minimum age of 14 for marriage by a little girl, carry to term uncle R word, and being happy?

Believe it when people show you who they are. Sick, grooming approver at 14, dont help a mother with an unviable fetus.
You're just an internet warrior, fill of hate like my drunk uncle. The rest of the east coast still thinks 14 is stupid young for marriage.

Fight for Halifax pier and the 14 year olds there, but nah, you'd rather give the kids to be groomed and married at 14. Remembrance day is coming and even my papa still thinks thats messed up at 90. Weird, not my 70 year old drunk uncle though.

Get a grip - r word and carry to term and grooming at 12 to marry at 14 is wrong, to me and a lot of others, but not to some tonight.

The world moves on, just some of us real men have to protect a little more against you sick people who think 14 years should be legal and women shouldn't vote, unless their husband let's them We will be vigilant against the ones that are happy today.

We will protect our mothers, wives and daughters against you toxic hateful abusers and those who think 14 is old enough to get married. OR because the drunk uncle rapes, we wont lose that fight in canada for the daughter not to live her whole life thinking about a sick man.

I hope you reflect, look at the bill. Then in end, everyone said thank you on the losing side, but not the same from the otherside, you lost the bet , trump did #### talk. We will just have to be more vigilant against hateful rapists, abusers and controlling people while we make sure or friends are families are safe

I suspect your mother would disagree, but you are not her My Nanny is gone, but he still does not understand how people could try to make a girl or women die after being raped due to no care. And he sure as #### does not even understand how anyone would support 14 year old marriage. But protect the girls is his ask.

I got to know you tonight Cap - not the good east coaster i thought. Some messed up beliefs - look up the bill, at least.

Did you fall into coma and miss the last two months of Democrats campaigning to the right and subsequently losing all momentum?

I agree.

It's extremely unfortunate, that in order to figure that lesson out, we're left with an increasingly senile egomaniac with a penchant for pandering to the far right in charge of the most powerful country, and our direct neighbor, for the next four years.

Trump had a muslim ban the last time around. Seeing as how most Arabs are muslims, there wouldn't even be Arab Americans if Trump had his way, yet that is who they would rather win?

Trump isn't going to be less pro-Israel than the Democrats and if anything, Netanyahu is probably celebrating right now.

I didn't see anything in that tweet that suggested they voted for Trump. Did you?

The problem was after four years of inaction, the campaigning didn't come across as honest. Although also due to external factors, people's lives have been spiraling down the gutter for the last few years.

It doesn't help when you spend years (rightfully) vilifying these monsters, only to turn around and go "See? They're endorsing me! Great statesmen!"

And Sirota nails it on the head here:

Campaigning and action are two different things. You can pivot and change strategy in an attempt to win votes but the record speaks for itself. It becomes disingenuous when you say one thing but have a history of doing the opposite. Trump played into people’s fears and focussed his campaign on a diminishing quality of life and deteriorating personal finances.

People are making way too big a deal out of the demographic issues in Michigan. Michigan is only 1% Muslim, likely less than the percentage who are Jewish and/or have partial Jewish ancestry. There's one city, Dearborn, that has a large Arab population, of about 40k.

Trump has a 6.5%, and increasing, margin of victory in Michigan.

The vote in Michigan was not decided by the Israel/Gaza issue.

By any objective analysis, outside of the performative identity politics crap, the Democrats are a centre-right party and the LPC are very much in the centre.
