I am so ok with being wealthy.
And I definitely agree that Reebok would never let teams move the branding to the classic waist location. More of a 'look how good this would look if...'. I love the alternate logo, but take zero credit. Mad props to the originator (I'm worried that I'm getting credit for that design):

Bear in mind I'm horridly unartistic. I thought I'd give it a whirl though and see what you guys thought.

I have never liked the use of black in the Flames uniforms. It cheapens it somehow.

But we'll worry about that when the time comes.

I did consider that in the design.
Then I found this, and my mind was at ease:
You'll notice a good amount of the jerseys (though most are now retired) rock a considerable amount of colour.

Also adding my name to the list of people who think this is probably the greatest design I have seen for a flames jersey and I reallly really wish they used it.

These are from the 09-10 season and only 16 are still being worn. (Toronto, Florida and San Jose have minor differences.) Teams are switching from the Edge designs to more traditional looks.

Yeah, I just meant to point out the amount of colour on away jerseys the NHL allows

I know, just thought it was remarkable how fast teams are abandoning the Edge designs. I think Washington will be the last hold out.

I haven't been following this thread, perhaps this has already been posted...but I recall someone on CP posted this years ago. I guess I liked it enough to hang on to it.

U of C should have that on their football helmets, instead of "DINOS".

They haven't had that on their helmets for a while now. The past several seasons they used the UC monogram, and this season it appears they're only gonna use the number of a player that passed away this past spring.
EDIT: Nevermind. They're back to using the monogram on the helmet.
