We talked about the Calgary Tower as a shoulder patch idea....



Bear in mind I'm horridly unartistic. I thought I'd give it a whirl though and see what you guys thought.

I'm not a fan of shoulder patches at all, but I very much like what Trailer Fire mocked up.

Sorry for the sideways-ness. Tapatalk upload and I couldn't figure out how to rotate...

Rather than double post I'll just edit...

What so you guys think in terms of colours? That's the part I'm worst at is selecting colours. Simple black and white? I don't know.... outside of the flame is black, inside yellow and the tower in black as well? Black outlined with red? Maybe have the tower in red? Ugh I'm terrible with colours....

I would go with red flame w/ yellow outline and a black tower with nothing outlining it

I would love to see that mocked up. If anyone wants to mess around with my rough draft and make changes they see fit I would be more than pleased.

Am I missing something? These are our 89' style jerseys just on a new jersey template and slightly darker reds, no?

You're right, it looks like they just reversed the colour scheme on the striping. And I agree, the originals are better. Just bring back the retro whites and I'll be happy.

very crude sample here TF but I came up with this sample.



Obviously if they did something like this the yellow outline would be even and the tower would be more accurate... etc.

The Flames logo are different also. No black outline. Instead use of both white and yellow, or red for the away logo.
