^Even without they're more in play than the Canucks simply owing to the game in hand and the ROW difference.

That exercise made me realize that everyone in the WC playoffs as of right now is above .500 in the shootout.

I hate that that nonsense skills competition garbage makes such a difference.

It could have gone a lot worse. We didn't lose ground to anyone, and gained on the Canucks and Jets. Despite the fact that we were on the road in Boston.

Would have been a long night for Jets fans.

It could have gone a lot better though. The fact that Arizona even had a lead to choke away in the last minute was amazing enough, but c'mon Carey Price. A last minute GA to LA?

Your backup tendy giving up last minute goals against to the champs is unacceptable?

I mean, undesirable sure, but it's the Kings. It happens.

wasnt the goaltenders fault. gaborik walked out in front unmolested and had a free shot in a very dangerous spot, with a screen no less.

Winnipeg Jets ‏@NHLJets

Maurice announces Byfuglien will be out 2-4 weeks.
Huge blow to the Jets.

So for all teams in the playoff hunt,

Canucks - Miller out for regular season
Flames - Giordano out for season
Jets - Byfuglien out for possibly regular season
Kings - Voynov gone, but replaced w/ Sekera
Wild - No major injuries (Zucker / Cooke / Spurgeon maybe add up to one though)
Sharks - No major injuries

Still think the Canucks and Jets will be the ones who will be on the outside looking in after all is said and done.

I think the Jets and Sharks will fall out. Kings will get 2nd in Division and Flames 3rd. Wild and Canucks wild cards..

One of the worst goaltending performances in a shoot-out I've ever seen.

If the Jets could somehow be convinced to call up goaltending phenom Connor Hellebuyck, I think we would make the playoffs.

I think the Blackhawks will get bumped down into a Wild Card spot and Minnesota will slide into the 3rd spot in the central division

Thought Hutchinson was the answer.

Or Paul Maurice last year.

Oops.

I mean, you do realize that the Jets have made a huge improvement over last year after same games played right? But feel free to take your drive by.

I don't think Minnesota will lose many points the rest of the way. I say they finish 2nd in their division and finish only a few points short of Nashville.

Hutchinson and Maurice have both been huge improvement over last year. However, Hellebuyck will likely be the future of the franchise, as far as goaltending is concerned.

Yes, indeed. Tied in games played, tied in points, tied in ROW, but the Flames own the season series versus them.
