20/20 tonight was quite possibly the most remarkable hour of television in a long time- in depth behind the scenes footage of Gabrielle Giffords' recovery. I think she still has a way to go, but it is amazing to see where she is now considering we all initially thought she had been killed.

Long live the human spirit!

She resigned from Congress. Here's a pretty touching video, I'm amazed she's come this far.

TO be very honest, I've followed her recovery and she's really an inspiration for anyone who's had a traumatic accident or had a stumble in her life.

Her determination and non stop dedication to her recovery is incredible, and she's handled it with a smile and without hiding from it.

I hope that she can resume what she see's as her life's work, but everytime I see her smile I'm amazed.

Loughner sentenced to spend his remaining days behind bars.

Quote:

U.S. District Judge Larry Burns sentenced Loughner to serve the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole. The punishment includes seven consecutive life terms plus 140 years.

"The evidence clearly shows that he knew what he was doing, despite his mental illness," the judge said.

No surprise there, the victims and victims families showed a lot of compassion in not pushing for the Death Penalty.

I hope he enjoys looking at Kansas wheat fields for the next 40 or 50 years through a 3 by 10 inch window
