Many years ago, I ran a sim hockey league, and the participants had fun with their made-up coaches and silly ‘news’ bits. One team was coached by a reanimated corpse. If you ever got in his doghouse, you had to sit next to him on the bench and smell him decomposing. That made him the best motivator in the whole league.
I wonder if sitting next to McDavid has a similar effect. ‘PLEASE put me out for another shift, coach! I'll do better!’
