Why is Cliff so passionate about this? Cake closed out Folk Festival perfectly last night. Wish it wasn't so cold and rainy but nothing I can do about it.

lol this edit makes it even better. You spent the weekend furious at people on the internet who said they could still do activities in the rain and preferred it to staying home, going as far as to view their opinion as contemptuous of others and narcissistic. It’s the rain Cliff, you’re literally just doing the same thing I said I do, but you’re making a big deal about how you did it. Do you want an award for braving the conditions?

I think the biggest difference between us is that when I’m at Folk Fest I’m not spending the whole time thinking about you.

Nice! I fly there tomorrow for a week. I love me some rain, but this is getting ridiculous for July...gotta go find our own sun this summer it seems.

Not gonna lie, I'm one of the plebs that helps with Cliff's point. I tend to stay indoors if there's rain unless I absolutely have to be outside. Being outdoors in rain for a concert seems like a miserable experience to me. Will I melt? No, but it's just a preference. And it's not really a controversial take to say rain will impact outdoor events is it?

That being said, I'm not complaining about the rain. If anything, it helps in that I never had to water my grass once this year, and it's looking mighty green. Just wish it would let up for a few days and dry out so I can mow it, but that's just minor gripes.

This is ideal. Walls can’t contain this sexual tension.

Patio or living room? Perhaps a covered porch?

It’s so uncontroversial that not a single person has even suggested otherwise.

Cliff, I'd like to know if you were this passionate about it being a ####ty summer when outdoor events were being cancelled because of smoke/heat? If yes, then at least you're consistent with your ####ty summer theory.

Again, I'd rather this as opposed having to the city blanketed in smoke for days on end.

When have events ever been cancelled here due to heat?

Smoke, occasionally I guess, though I can't think of a specific example off the top of my head.

I actually liked the rain during Cake last night. Added a certain je ne sais quoi.

The weather station at West Bragg Creek has reported 272mm of rain so far this month. That's more than the average rainfall in Vancouver for May, June, July, August and September combined.

I'm definitely among those that are bummed about the weather. I like sunshine and the complete lack of it is bumming me out.

On the bright side, being a pleb without AC is a non issue this year.

My question is, how was Cake? The band has had a reputation for not doing a great live show going back a long time.
