I can't remember who it was but one player at the world juniors last year described playing against gaudreau as like playing against a ghost... He's just so elusive and reads plays so well that he slips into the quiet areas where the puck goes and nobody is around to stop him. I like that his offensive skills can haunt the opposition.

I knew a kid in soccer like that, too. He was probably the smallest kid on the team but came in and was instantly the best player we had. He was just so damn smart with getting in the right place at the right time, and was so shifty with the ball that you couldn't get it off him. And he could kick the thing a mile. Yet you wouldn't know it looking at him. Just like Johnny. With bigger players, I'd almost expect it to be harder to line this kid up. I think he'll surprise a lot of people this fall at just how well he can translate his game.

Gaudreau's potential last game of this college season is April 12th.
Flames season finale, is April 13th.
Theoretically; could the Flames sign him, play him for one game, burning the first year off of his ELC and collects the signing bonus?
