The thing I don't like about his father's comments that he felt better dealing with Feaster, is that Johnny has already used this excuse to change his college commitment from Northeastern to BC when the first college changed coaches.

What?
He was like 22 years old when he got his first and only 80+ point season

Granted I can't say that the quotes from Johnny's dad is what I wanted to read.

When did Feaster tell the media Sven was guaranteed a spot?

Right you are. My mistake. Either way, he had more than 200 points in the NHL by the timee he was Jhonnys age.
Some people are off the hook with hype for this kid.

Your right, Johnny probably will score 80 points next year with the Flames.

It's actually interesting Kane and Patrick Sharp are fairly similar in PPG in recent years, I don't think anyone would guess that.

So many expectations
I posted an article in another thread that talked about smaller players. It said that for many small guys it takes until they're 26 to really round into a solid nhl player. Let's not heap so many expectations on him because he'll most likely need a lot of development time.

All true. I'd be fine with that, I'm just basing my guess purely on a feeling...he's gonna be something magic.

Wrong again. JG is 20. At the age of 20, Kane had played 2 seasons and had 142 points.

Sharp might be the most underrated player on that team and arguably one of the most underrated players in the NHL.
It doesn't help that I'm biased because he's my favourite player, but still.
Nearly a PPG player for the last 4 years and plays a solid defensive game. Certainly one of the best LW in the game.

Burke will never wait that long, he will pick up a Colten Orr or some other player for Gaudreau. You can never have enough truculence.

Fan expectations have about as much to do with his success/failure as a pro as whether or not you wear your lucky socks during the game.

Your lucky socks don't cause you to have multiple microphones in your face, cause you to have to answer difficult questions or write bad things about you that your friends and family read.
Players don't live in a bubble, and fan/media/organizational expectations are all linked and very much do play a role in his development

I think he's mocking the incorrect "your".
"Your" shows possession.
"You're" means you are.

With a second or third year Monahan, I think Gaudreau can be as productive as Kane in his younger years. People underestimate the potential of that pairing. They looked really dynamic at camp.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Poirier
The mix of skill, size, speed and two way play on that line would be insane.
