Well it was probably his friends or "clan" who helped enact the whole thing. If he was able to screencap that, he was probably looking to actively video a controlled/rigged thing.
I wouldn't put too much faith into this guys "abilities". This one is much more entertaining, although likely staged as well:
New DLC announced. Close Quarters is coming in June, and I have absolutely zero interest in it. I don't play Battlefield for CoD-esque maps. The second is Armored Kill, with wide-open vehicle based maps. This is what I play Battlefield for! And the third is End Game, but they haven't said anything about it.

i actually have more fun on the infantry only maps, since as soon as you have to deal with tanks you're basically forced to go engineer. i far prefer the assault rifles, but my grenade launcher doesn't do anything except alert a tank to where i'm hiding

I just feel like I'm forced to not be medic. Support can try to C4 stuff, and depending on distance, Recon can SOFLAM stuff and get them destroyed from afar. Assault is just totally defenseless against armor.

Battlefield to me has always been about huge, open maps. You're not forced to go engineer if you play in squads or clans that actually co-operate. That's when you start having the most fun with the game, because everyone has a designated role.

So its fairly realistic then.
Infantry is always going to get chewed up by a determined armor formation.
Unless you have dedicated anti tank or armor support your job is basically to slow down a tank or APC as it slowly rolls its treads over your corpse.
Even dedicated anti armor infantry units die in great numbers against tanks because personal anti armor weapons have a lot of trouble punching through modern tanks.
I would prefer that kind of realism in a game to the individual guy derping a tank with a grenade launcher (useless against tank armor) or sustained machine gun fire.
It would make more sense if you built your team around realistic guidlines and had the ability to either call in anti armor artillary fire, or air strikes.
Or have a dedicated weapons team with heavier but less mobile anti-tank missiles.
I would love to see a battlefield map that focused on naval action, where you can try to take out a carrier with a sub, or launch a more then 2 plane group on fighter sweeps or ground strikes. Or launch ground or ship bombardments.
I would love to see a huge area for fighter jets/bombers.
I'd love to see a server that could handle up to 1000 players that would be fairly realistic in its requirements.

You might want to check out the new ARMA when it comes out. Far more of a simulation (well for an online shooter) than Battlefield is, and the server sizes are humongous.
But, yeah, the kits aren't meant to be completely symmetrical, and I'd hate it if they were. Each is meant to excel at different things, and each is more useful depending on the map. The Assault/Medic kit is invaluable on a map like Grand Bazaar where infantry gets chewed up quickly. Without medics, your team's ticket count would go down extremely fast, but when you get incapacitated, and then revived, it doesn't count as a death.

I tend to play recon most often but I rotate between engineer and Support a lot. So far my longest headshot is 1114 meters that I got on Caspian Boarder. However I'm getting tired of the losers that get under the map on the subway and sit under C and cap flags.
I've also noticed that the servers have been so unbalanced that it's hard to find a good game where one side isn't dominating the other to the point where they're pinned back in their original spawn.

I find it hard to stay in a squad it just feels like a giant COD map. I rarely see any team work. I have this for Xbox and PS3.
Yea, teamwork is pretty rare. On certain maps, such as Metro, and to a lesser extent Seine Crossing, you are forced to stick together. But on the more wide open maps, it's a bit of a free for all. If you can get some friends together, it can be a lot more fun.
I'd say stick to Assault, maybe opting for Engineer if it is a vehicle heavy map. I find that Conquest is the most fun. Rush can be just too god damn frustrating at times. And if you want to just work on your close combat skills, Team Deathmatch is the way. Just don't spend too long in TDM. It gets super annoying when people keep spawning behind you.

Every time I play the battlefield games I fall in love for about 10 minutes and fall out of love even quicker.
But the one thing that is right in most of them is if you don't have a tank commander in the upper turret of your tank your really vulnerable. It does make me laugh when I see some guy getting within 15 feet of a tank and greasing it with a rocket launcher.

I absolutely love getting a few c4 packs on it and running. Even if they kill me when I spawn I pull the trigger and BOOM. Love that, it's even better loading up a turn where they can't see the c4 on the ground and blow them to he'll and back as they drive over them.

I find I am playing BF3 for longer and longer periods of time now. I wasn't into it as quickly as I was with the other ones. I'm not sure what changed, I play the game the same way I used too. Maybe people are finally getting better making the games more exciting.
The cheaters @ night time (i work graves so I play late @ night) though are out of control. Hard to play a game without someone being a cheater, or being accused of cheating.
