How about Ryan's stat line. He played 11 minutes, took two minor penalties and finished -3.

Nice game. Depth.

Stauffer is likely a jar deep and is making up stuff. Guessing he’s back after the road trip.

True, they’ll rush him back for the game against us for sure. Just like the heritage classic

Yeah, it's ridiculous to suggest that the best-case scenario is a severe ankle injury that often takes longer than a fracture to heal. Looked to me like it could be a 1st degree ankle sprain. Should be back in 2 weeks.

Lol, absolutely they will. Games against the Flames are the Oilers' Stanley Cup.

Now I ain't no fancy stats guy, but its interesting when you look at a couple of key stats.

In terms of giveaways, The Oilers have Given away the puck 126 pucks in 10 games, their opponents have given away the puck 53 times in 10 games. They've given out 107 hits and taken 188 hits.

they've scored 14.29% of their goals from rebounds which equals 2 goals with is 16th in the league. nearly 19% of their goals against are from rebounds, its only 3 but they're the 8th worst team in the league from that perspective.

What does this all mean?

First the Oilers are sloppy with the pucks, they take too many risks.
Second the Oilers don't work hard without the puck, they don't pressure other teams very well or force giveaways.

third - They're soft, They get outhit in pretty much every game.

This for the Oilers is more hilariously pointing to a slow team that's behind the play, that's not all that physical and playing entitled hockey. They aren't snake bitten, or unlucky, and while the goaltending isn't great, its not the reason why they're a below .500 team.

They're no good and they deserve what they're getting.

I mean here's the funny thing, for the Oilers remaining schedule they have right now the 29th most difficult schedule.

If the mendoza line for the playoffs is about 92 points, the Oilers should be ok still needing 42 wins in 73 games of a record of 42-31 or a .583 wpct.

Excuse me for playing CP's podiatric doctor but as ridiculous as it sounds it's not easy to get a minor ankle sprain wearing skates, it happens and maybe this is the case but the most common are torn ankle ligaments that connect the tibia to the fibula above the rigid part of the skate boot, hence the term "high ankle sprain".

Stauffer's best case scenario is 8-12 weeks but we all know he's an fatso idiot who probably sprains an ankle 3 times a year walking down from the press box.

I'd say he's more Jabba than Jar Jar on the Star Wars scale.

Principe is the Jar Jar of that duo.

Was bored a couple games ago so watched the Oilers broadcast.

Wow, how do they still let Baghdad Bob on the telecast?? He is so disheveled looking; and that's him at his best.

Not to mention the over-the-top homerism.

1. Edmonton

I'm going to the Hospital in Columbus.
Columbus doctors would tell the truth about how injured he is.
