Can Congress or the Senate require him to have a health check, not one done by Dr. Nick like before.

It's crazy how many Trump voters still think this clown is good for our country.

Exactly... i mean, its not to say Obamacare is a perfect system; its not. But there provision is already in the bill, albeit not as well defined as one would like it to be...

Ultimately, the lack of insurers crossing over state lines to offer insurance comes down to one thing: profit.

If insurance companies believed that they could make money by offering plans across state lines, i guarantee there would be companies doing just that.

in the article, it sounds like there are 3 major hurdles:

1) the insurers are still obliged to offer plans with full range of coverage (ie cover pre-existing conditions)

2) the insurers will have to invest money in actually forming relationships with all the healthcare providers in the new state and

3) each individual state needs to pass legislation in order for this to even happen.

the third point pre-dates obamacare and is the purvey of individual states and the first two are sink costs for the insurers...so there's no reason for them to do it if there's no profit for them to do so

Trump refuses to let the Repeal and Replace thing die.

White House policy to not move on to other issues until healthcare is done. This is going to be the most ineffective White House in history.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Senate can pretty much ignore this, right? From everything I've read after Trumpcare died on Friday, the GOP have essentially given up on HC for now and are trying to move on to other issues.

Yes, Congress can ignore Trump. They pretty much are ignoring Trump. This demand should change little. It might encourage some of the more rebellious Republicans to continue to the charge, but the pragmatic ones should move on.
