Like if he'd tried and scored 10 goals and they won, he'd probably still get made fun of. But it wouldn't be "can't even carry a beer league team" level of mockery.

Even Avery wasnt that goddamned stupid. At least that BS he pulled against Brodeur was borderline clever until they outlawed it, Smyth is just out there hacking away like a mentally deficient lumberjack.

Most of those whacks don't even look like they hit the czech player, just the ice in front of his skate... Lol i dont remember seeing that one before but he looks like he's either horribly stupid or extremely concussed and confused.
