Or going further back, what about having Savard as his C.

You said you didn't hear his Jaroooooooooome Iginla. And I just mentioned it's cause he's not allowed to do it. But to answer your question.

Sutter, you are an idiot. Getting number one centres and first line LWers is a simple task.

Deep down I really want to throw Iginla bobbleheads at all those analysts and mail them an autographed Iginla Jersey with a DVD showing clips of his performance tonight......

But it was Norway. There will probably be more tweaks and adjustments as the games go.

But it really makes perfect sense. You take the best forward at each position and play them together. What bodes well for them is that the chemistry of the SJ and ANA lines allows them to gel over the next few games.

I like it so far.

So did he get the hat trick or not? I saw him tip it in, but they announced it as Nash's goal, and the score sheet has it as Nash too.

Not to halt the mob, but I don't think he said anything.

I think it was just about his lines and saying that Iginla is a better fit on the 4th line.

actually wait a sec as I am typing I remember that he said that he felt Bergeron is a "Headier" player than Iginla so he is a better fit with Crosby

Screw you Bob!!!

hmmm lets see.....he traded Phaneuf....I'm thinking he could have packaged #3 for a first liner to play with Iginla.....not scrubs.

Yet he didn't.

So either we go with what happened (i.e. reality) or we go with what you believe could have happened...

Yeah I thought the same thing. I know I don't know what went on in Calgary's dressing room etc but i'm not sure why #3 was traded so quickly and not for a 1st line player.

Well reality is that a lot of other GM's were upset as they didn't know Phaneuf was available (there is a thread on it on the main forums). It can be argued that shopping him could bring down his value so he went with the first good deal he thought. But when you have a player like Phaneuf, I think you have to atleast shop him around somewhat.

But that is all in the past so no point speculating.

GO CANADA!

Unbelievable that people are using one fricken game against a bunch of Swedish league players to jump all over Darryl Sutter for not getting him linemates to play with.

Iginla has scored hat tricks for the Calgary Flames before people. He nearly got one Saturday night with Stajan and Hagman.

But by all means, continue talking about how we should get Crosby to play with Iginla.

Back in the weeks and weeks of analysis before the Olympics, Bob said that Jarome was going to fit in this team as a 4th line grinder. That's why he's working for TSN as a professional Blackberry operator, not an NHL franchise as a scout.

The announcers giving emphasis to a Canadian when they score a goal would be seen as classless at the Olympics. Besides, that's what us fans are for.
