Canada's lines are nice. The SJ line has the chemistry and then the Staal and Anaheim line is huge and was dominating and oh yeah that other line had a hat trick. Good times!

McElhinney could have had a shutout against Norway too!!

I have no problem with whoever plays net as long as we get the WIN

For his performance tonight I hope Sutter surprises Iginla with a playmaking center upon his return. What a difference having good linemates makes.

Darryl Sutter not giving Iginla proper line mates is a joke.....imagine how many more goals he would have had in his career. Oh well good for my Canucks!

I was really impressed that, after the first period, the Canadians were really whipping the puck. There was some serious heat behind a lot of those shots.

Did anyone hear Beasley (sp?) doing the PA announcements at the arena?

I could have sworn that he was hired as the guy but I rewinded my PVR and I don't hear his distinctive call for Jaroooooooooome Iginla.

I think the announcers have to be neutral. Even if Canada scores.

Yeah, because it's just that easy to pick up three top 10 players.

What a game?

What can you say about Iggy? Must have been rejuvenated not playing with scrubs even though he started on the 4th line. Only played ~3 minutes in the 1st period and then Babcock finally put him on the PP and he shows what he can do... and caps it off with a hattrick.

I'm ecstatic about his play and the Nash-Crosby-Iggy line in general. I thought all the lines played well and 7uongo wasn't really tested.

Go Canada Go!

Go Iggy Go!

Yay. I shudder at the thought of seeing Iginla with a a good playmaker as his centerman.

Edit: Just to be clear, I like it during the Olympics but not during NHL play

Thanks tips. I already knew that and doesn't really answer my question.

Did anyone hear Beasley doing the PA announcements? I didn't hear his distinctive voice at all. I've listened to the last couple calls a few times now and I can't tell if it is him or not.

Ya, I saw that as well. I am sure they will change it in the next couple hours.

Couldn't agree more. The guy is still a world class player and being a rival fan it would be a lot more scary if he had the linemates to play up to his level. I think Calgary should have kept a guy like Cammalleri. Guys like Hagman and Stajan aren't first line players.
