Sweden seems cool enough that I can forgive it for producing the Sedins.
Any country that creates Peter Forsberg is a-ok with me.

Sweden has one very obnoxious fan who posts here. Other than that we should epxress our deep love for the swedes, Currently, Adam Olas-Maatson, Oliver Kylington, Rasmus Andersson, Mikael Backlund are all Flames property.
Also, swedish bikini team! Also, metal! Don't let Swedens version of Verve ruin Sweden for you!

I will extend all Swedish born members of the Flames an exemption from my meeting hatred, but virtually all of these other things that you mention are not indigenously Swedish, and are just as at home in any one of the other Scandinavian countries. Some of my favourite metal bands are actually Finnish, and if Norway had a bikini team, I'm sure that they would consistently make Sweden's look like crap. (I'm not sure if there is a Norwegian bikini team, and suspect that if they do not it is because they are already content to be world bikini champions by fiat.)
Sweden is no good. That is all.

For some reason this seems to be a popular sentiment. No offence intended to any Scandinavians here, but Scandinavia is not really that awesome (for outsiders at least).
Weather bad. Food bad. Everything super expensive (fun things especially). People not that welcoming (at first anyways). A bit depressing tbh, just my experience but I'm not sure why people seem to have this romanticized view of Scandinavia. It's pretty much like Canada in terms of great outdoor activities and scenery, which is great, but it's worse in a lot of ways. Though granted the women are extremely attractive. All in all there are far better places to go in the wide world, IMO.
Actually the best country out of them is Denmark.
I'd like to see the US win the tourney.

I saw a clip of Lowry tonight...........said that they never thought of changing goalies, that it never even entered into the conversation.
Really? Either he really is that dumb or just be honest.....say yes, but we were sticking with our top guy in our biggest game. If he really never thought of it, then, wow.

Sticking with your guy rather than try to win the game?

Wow. Sweden is pretty much the Anti-USA, are you a racist bigot or just trying to get a rise? Seriously, the worst post I've read since coming to CP.
Whats up with all the hate for Swedes?

All of a sudden a big hate for Swedes and Sweden. Didnīt see that coming.
Sweden and Finland do have a great rivalry when it comes to hockey, but thatīs about it.

Finland actually has had a booming foodie and restaurant culture for over a decade now. The restaurant day , a Finnish invention, is becoming an international phenomenon, and the haute cuisine restaurants here give you great value for money (in that category).
(Also; technically I think you mean Nordic countries. Scandinavia is just Sweden, Norway and Denmark.)
But yeah, expensive countries. Sweden and Norway especially.
