I always thought power ranking was more of a short-term trend analysis. So you could be at the bottom of the standings but on bit of a roll.

Just a quick reminder that Edmonton is no good. Power rankings are stupid.

I was being facetious and you're correct, these rankings are based on short-term trend subjective analysis.

Not sure if you know this but 2 wins in a row (one in OT) is considered a streak in greaserville. I am not linking to staples on this.

https://thehockeywriters.com/oilers-...ned-hall-fame/
is the Nuge destined for the Hall of Fame?
premise seems to be he's not much crappier than Lowe or Anderson so if he hangs on and wins a bunch of cups with the Oilers then for sure, if he doesn't then probably anyways because he will be a long tenured Oiler

Maybe the Charmin Hall of Fame for being the softest player to ever play. The Tenderness™️.

What an absolute trash article:

What absolute nonsense. The Tenderness™ gets piles and piles of garbage points from just lining up with McHobo and the Wonder Twins on the powerplay. He has NEVER been a dominant player, he does not drive play and is invisible most of the time he is on the ice.
The Edmonton media is the dumbest in professional sports, possessing not an inkling of self awareness.

Jesus Christ. Backlund has a better chance of getting elected to the hall for his elite two way play and lower, but similar production, and that's obviously a very, very low chance.
What a ####ing idiot.

Perhaps we are encountering noted flames fan internationalvillager on a different forum? They seem to be the expert on oilers ability to not age and achieve three or four “once in a lifetime” events concurrently.
The tenderness in the hhof. He doesn’t even play for the leafs!

Nuge is one of the most unremarkable players.
If he deserves a HHOF nod then so do about 50 other current guys who can bring exactly what he does.

The article just makes no sense. He's not going to get 400 goals. Very unlikely he makes it to 1000 points. He's at 700 in 886 games... and points are really all he brings to the table!
No way he sees the Hall.
