I don't think it is so much his charisma that worked. I think he was the first candidate that just ignored scandals and pretended they didn't exist or matter. Any number of things he said on the campaign trail in 2016 would have ended other politicians careers. But because Trump made a career out of spewing b.s. and ignoring the truth, he was able to just roll right past the controversy. Once he realized he could say or do anything, he was able to say things voters wanted to hear no matter how ridiculous or unrealistic.
So I think people are right when they say someone else that is willing to be as despicable of a candidate as Trump can do a lot of damage if they have an actual agenda or angle. Trumps angle was inflating his ego. But there are plenty of people out there willing to say or do anything to further their cause.
The only thing somewhat unique about Trump is he has no shame. But we already have others in congress like McConnel or Nunes or Cruz that are pretty much at that level as well.

NSFW for swears. Make sure you look at the whole thread, because uh, some people are getting an FBI visit over this.

Hopefully the dems are fired up for the runoffs! A little right wing disillusionment won't hurt either

That is definitely the damage he did..
The shattering of norms and the absense of remorse when caught both can be replicated.
What can’t is the Trump rally. I would argue that the pied piper affect of him is not replicable. I know there is a lot of disagreement in the Trump was a savant argument but I don’t think Mcconnal or Cruz could shoot someone in 5th avenue and have them applaud. They will always be of the political class. Trump was able to convince 50 million (20 million just wanted tax cuts) people that he was just like them when instead he was the most silver spooned person in recent history in office.

I always thought that Trump used the typical authoritarian's tactics. Enabled division and hate. His supporters don't like him for what he does for them, he's really done little, they love him for hating the same people they do. Immigrants, muslims, blacks, dems, intellectuals etc. He mobilized these smaller groups in to one large voting mass.
The GOP exploited that by staffing courts with unqualified stooges and giving money to their rich buddies in the name of reforms without any fallout. When questioned, they will blame that crazy one term President Trump.

Roger Stone-Tied Group Threatens GOP: If Trump Goes Down, So Does Your Senate Majority
Conservative operatives and a super PAC with ties to infamous GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone are calling for Trump supporters to punish Republicans by sitting out Georgia’s crucial Senate runoffs or writing in Trump’s name instead. And though their efforts remain on the party’s fringes, the trajectory of the movement has Republicans fearful that it could cost the GOP control of the Senate.

Somewhat funny, sure, but also sad and, potentially extremely dangerous.
He's got plenty of fans who might go for their guns instead.

Vote machines print a ballot for you to confirm and then you hand in the ballot. They have matched the printed ballots with the numbers from the digital count, twice.
God people are stupid

Maybe, but it's not terribly difficult to verify the story.

The GOP losing those senate seats would be the ultimate poetic justice for their complicit silence over these last 4 years. The meltdown would be glorious.
Also, what I wouldn't give to see the looks on McConnell and Graham's faces if that happens.

Pennsylvania officially certifies Biden as the winner. It's finally over.
https://apnews.com/article/election-...db13fa8e7c3019
Quote:
Democrat Joe Biden was certified Tuesday as winner of the presidential election in Pennsylvania, culminating three weeks of vote counting and a string of failed legal challenges by President Donald Trump.
Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf first disclosed in a tweet that the Department of State had certified the vote count for president and vice president.
Wolf sent a “certificate of ascertainment” to the national archivist Washington with the slate of electors who support President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
Pennsylvania’s 20 electors, a mix of elected Democrats, party activists and other staunch Biden backers, will meet in the state Capitol on Dec. 14.

Its over when the house certifies the results of the Electoral College.
I mean sure, there isn't really any avenue left but its not technically over.
