Zadorov has always a weirdly inflated idea of his worth on the open market. just based on what barnburner and insiders have said over the years.

Per Chris Johnston:
The #stlblues have acquired Alexandre Texier from #CBJ for a mid-round draft pick and, per @PuckPedia, signed him to a two-year extension carrying a $2.1M AAV.

Yeah.
Too bad Conroy hasn't won a trade yet, though.

Craig still hammering for MTL to take Iginla.
He’s selling it so hard, can’t figure out why.
In the same breath he said he would t trade up to take him as a flames GM…
I’m getting anxious!
Craig button sorry!!

...because Flames want Demidov, and if Montreal takes Iggy Jr., then Demidov drops to the Flames?

I think the Flames can work their way into 6th overall down to 8th. But they need a curveball from CLB or MTL to make the move.
Unless they swing really big on 4th overall they won't be sniffing Demidov or Lindstrom.

Not worth it. We should be looking to take someone's crap to move our 28th up considerably (and throw in a few sweetners to get it higher as well).

They can do both.

I think CLB is the soft spot for the move up. Just feels like there's a move to be made there. Might cost a little bit more than some would be comfortable with, but ...there's a trade there if the Flames think Demidov or Lindstrom are worth it.

What a strange, convoluted trade made by the wizard? All to get rid of a player that may have been washed up due to injuries but had a decent chance of rebound after surgery. And a true heart and soul player that the rookies could have learned from.

Quoting my own tweet here, but the Flyers would be interesting. We could grab Ryan Johansen (1 year left, $4.5M, bad attitude) and Cal Petersen (1 year left, $5 mil, Flames need third stringer), and the 12th overall for the 28th (and maybe something smaller to boot).
Flyers get $9.5 mil back to work with before July 1 (they currently have cap space of only $4,320,239+ the cap increase buffer). Flames could also get that centerman they need for a filler year, and could flip at the deadline for a mid-round pick (assuming he performs).
I might be off base, but what does this sound like to others?
