Almost as good as WWE but with regular, everyday trailer park characters instead of muscular athletes. The storylines on Springer were hilarious.

Accidentally as in your girlfriend asked you to show up somewhere and you walked on stage to meet her and her husband?

Did not have him in my deadpool, thought he had another decade at least.

Going to grab my "Too Hot for TV" VHS tape off the shelf and give that a watch in tribute tonight!

it'd be somehow appropriate if the funeral descended into chaos like his show would.

My favorite part of later stage Jerry was during audience questions when someone would ask a serious, thought provoking question, only to be bombarded with "Go to Oprah!" chants from the crowd. Having such a self-aware audience is a rarity.

Fond memories of Springer.
I remember basically everyone talking about it in high school and borrowing those special un-edited VHS's and watching them when my parents weren't around.

It was fake, trashy, and fantastically entertaining in a time when there was basically no internet.

RIP. Jerry... Jerry.... JERRY!!!!

I'm surprised to learn that he was even still alive.

It wasn't one of those situations when you thought you were going for a taping, but it turned out you were actually a guest, was it?

Edit: Never mind, I see someone else had the same idea.
