Absolutely not.

That would deviate from Gulutzan plan.

On paper this should be a playoff team, especially when they're healthy. Although I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Brodie traded for some extra scoring help up front. Also, I'm assuming guys like Stajan and Brouwer won't be here next season.

But I want to see what a good, experienced coach can do with this roster and a better system that actually utilizes the team's strengths.

An empty net with 6 minutes to go? That's a bold move...

Having a 6 foot 5 twit defenseman standing in front of the net watching the opposition doing whatever they please is worse then being shorthanded. Don't blame it all on Smith.

I don't think that was his point. Tkachuk can be a game changer and is pretty good at keeping the other team off their game.

so many fans keep on defending Dougie, "he is only 24 and big and can skate". that may be but he makes Jay Boumeester look like Scott Stevens in the hitting and intensity dept. he is what he is, a skilled d man who plays soft and makes a ton of bone head plays. while not a horrible trade, i still dont think it is the great heist that many think it was

It all makes sense now.

Gulutzan is following the Sam Raimi Spider-Man 3 plan. Only problem is GG is getting out bluffed by flames management just like Raimi was by Sony pictures.

Be so mind numbingly incompetent to intentionally get fired because if you quit then you don’t get that sweet, sweet payout. But the plan only works if your boss does fire you. If not the only solution is to keep upping the ante, all the while wondering if it’s really possible that you’re getting away with this crazy ####.

Maybe GG should take some hints from Saul Goodman on how to properly force your employers hand and get fired.

Kind of fitting that that someone scored ‘fore’ goals.

I agree with the coach comment, but I will says this till my throat is sore, we need a another scoring forward. Trade a dman, promote Anderson and Valimaki, sign Fox. Man this team needs a coach like Quenville( can't spell his name) oh and Dave Cameron is a joke as well

I like that the possession numbers have improved but I’d like to see us bring in a veteran coach that knows how to run a bench, line match, and has a feel for the tone of the game. It wouldn’t hurt if he had the wherewithal to recognize that TJ Brodie has fallen off a cliff since he was forced to play on the other side of the ice.

If for whatever reason Quenneville becomes available, you back up the Brinks truck to bring him in.
